Tepung maggot (hermitia illucens) memiliki kandungan nutrisi berupa protein tinggi yang dapat menjadi bahan alternatif dalam penambahan bahan baku pakan ikan bawal (colossoma macropomum). penelitian bertujuan untuk menentukan dosis terbaik dan mengetahui pengaruh penambahan tepung maggot terhadap pertumbuhan benih ikan bawal. penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan mei sampai juni 2023, lokasi penelitian di laboratorium pembenihan dan pembiakan ikan, fakultas kelautan dan perikanan, banda aceh. metode penelitian menggunakan metode rancangan acak lengkap (ral) non faktorial dengan 6 perlakuan dengan 3 pengulangan. perlakuan a tanpa penambahan tepung maggot, perlakuan b, c, d, e, dan f dengan penambahan tepung maggot 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%. penambahan tepung maggot pada pakan berpengaruh nyata (p˂0,05) terhadap pertumbuhan berat, laju pertumbuhan spesifik, efesiensi pakan, rasio konversi pakan, tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata (p˃0,05) terhadap pertumbuhan panjang dan kelangsungan hidup. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertumbuhan berat mutlak dan laju pertumbuhan spesifik terbaik terdapat pada perlakuan e sebesar 70,64 g, dan 1,76%/hari, efesiensi pakan dan rasio konversi pakan terbaik terdapat pada perlakuan e 96,81% dan 1,09. kisaran kualitas air masih dalam kisaran normal. penambahan tepung maggot dengan dosis 40%/kg pakan mampu menunjang pertumbuhan benih ikan bawal.



Abstract

Maggot flour (Hermitia illucens) has high protein content which can be an alternative ingredient in adding pomfret (Colossoma macropomum) feed ingredients. The research aims to determine the best dose and determine the effect of adding maggot flour on the growth of pomfret larvae. The research was carried out from May to June 2023, the research location was at the Fish Hatchery and Breeding Laboratory, Faculty of Marine and Fisheries, Banda Aceh. The research method used a non-factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 6 treatments with 3 repetitions. Treatment A without the addition of maggot flour, treatments B, C, D, E, and F with the addition of 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50% maggot flour. The addition of maggot flour to feed had a significant effect (P˂0.05) on growth in weight, specific growth rate, feed efficiency, feed conversion ratio, but had no significant effect (P˃0.05) on growth in length and survival. The results showed that the best absolute weight growth and specific growth rate were found in treatment E of 70.64 g and 1.76%/day, the best feed efficiency and feed conversion ratio were found in treatment E 96.81% and 1.09. The range of water quality is still within the normal range. The addition of maggot flour at a dose of 40%/kg of feed can support the growth of pomfret larvae.
