Seseorang yang mendapatkan label gangguan jiwa sering sekali timbul karena tidak terpenuhinya harapan-harapan sosial (sosial expect action) (scheff, 1966). hal yang tidak jauh berbeda juga yang terjadi di desa simpang kelaping. stigma-stigma negatif ini suatu hal yang wajar, namun stigma-stigma negatif ini suatu hal yang wajar, namun yang menjadi permasalahan ialah stigma negatif ini sering kali membuat pasien odgj pasca perawatan jiwa itu tidak bisa berinteraksi dengan baik di masyarakat setelah ia sembuh dari kondisi gangguan jiwanya. proses adaptasi seringkali terjadi sangat sulit bagi pasien odgj pasca perawatan jiwa. tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana adaptasi sosial dari pasien odgj serta penerimaan masyarakat terhadap pasien odgj pasca penyembuhan di desa simpang kelaping. penelitian ini memakai teori habitus dari pierre bourdieu yang menggambarkan bahwa budaya merupakan struktur sosial dan individu yang tindakannya di pengaruhi oleh struktur kolektif dalam masyarakat. penelitian ini memakai metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan proses adaptasi yang di jalani oleh pasien odgj telah baik, ditunjukkan dengan interaksi dan komunikasi pasien odgj pasca perawatan jiwa dengan masyarakat kampung simpang kelaping sudah sangat lancar dan baik dalam hal kegiatan-kegiatan sosial yang ada di kampung simpang kelaping, serta masyarakat sudah bisa menerima kehadiran pasien odgj secara baik dan terbuka dengan melibatkannya pada kegiatan-kegiatan di kampung. penelitian ini dapat menggambarkan bagaimana kehidupan bersosialisasi pasien odgj dalam lingkungan masyarakat. kata kunci: odgj, masyarakat, habitus, adaptasi, penerimaan.

A person who is labeled mentally ill often arises because of the unfulfillment of social expectations (Scheff, 1966). The same thing happened in Simpang Kelaping Village. This negative stigma is a natural thing, but this negative stigma is a natural thing, but the problem is that this negative stigma often makes patients with mental disorders after mental treatment unable to interact well in the community after they recover from their mental disorders. The adaptation process is often very difficult for patients with mental disorders after mental treatment. The purpose of this study is to determine how the social adaptation of patients with mental disorders and community acceptance of patients with mental disorders after recovery in Simpang Kelaping Village.. This research uses Pierre Bourdieu's Habitus theory which illustrates that culture is a social structure and individuals whose actions are influenced by collective structures in society. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The results of this study show that the adaptation process undertaken by patients with mental disorders has been good, indicated by the interaction and communication of patients with mental disorders after mental treatment with the community of Simpang Kelaping Village has been very smooth and good in terms of social activities in Simpang Kelaping Village, and the community has been able to accept the presence of patients with mental disorders well and openly by involving them in activities in the village.
