Fenomena kenakalan remaja merupakan proses alami yang terjadi pada setiap orang ketika sedang mengalami masa menjelang kedewasaan. hal itu masih akan terbilang wajar jika perilakunya tidak menjerumus kedalam perilaku menyimpang. pada tahun 2019, home box office (hbo) mengeluarkan sebuah film serial televisi berjudul euphoria. film serial ini menceritakan tentang sekelompok remaja yang menavigasikan cinta dan persahabatan di dunia penuh dengan narkoba, seks, trauma, dan media sosial. film serial ini berfokus pada isu kenakalan remaja dan perilaku menyimpang. terlepas dari isu tersebut film serial ini juga menampilkan bagaimana peran dan pengaruh orang tua terhadap perilaku menyimpang sang anak dalam setiap karakter di film serial ini. melalui analisis semiotika dengan menggunakan teori roland barthes, peneliti telah meneliti representasi pengaruh orang tua terhadap perilaku menyimpang rue bannet, nate jacobs, maddy perez dan cassie horward. melalui tahap denotasi, konotasi dan mitos, peneliti menyimpulkan bahwasanya 1 dari 4 karakter yang peneliti teliti, orang tua-nya tidak berpengaruh terhadap perilaku menyimpang yang anak itu lakukan. pada kasus rue bannet, perilakunya datang karena keinginannya sendiri untuk merasa aman dari gangguan jiwa yang dia derita, oleh karena itu rue bannet masuk kedalam tipe kenakalan remaja neurotik. sementara 3 karakter lainnya, peneliti mendapati bahwasanya orang tua sangat berpengaruh terhadap perilaku menyimpang yang anak itu lakukan. pada kasus nate jacobs, ayahnya tanpa sengaja mempengaruhi sifat sang anak yang abusive karena menyimpan rahasia sang ayah. hal itu juga yang membuat nate tergolong pada tipe kenakalan remaja psikopatik. selanjutnya pada kasus maddy perez, ia tidak pernah mendapat dukungan dari sosok ibu dan figur dari seorang ayah. sementara cassie howard, orang tuanya selalu bertengkar sejak ia kecil yang pada akhirnya mereka bercerai dan cassie kehilangan figur pria dalam hidupnya. kata kunci: perilaku menyimpang, orang tua, analisis semiotika, roland barthes, film, euphoria.

The phenomenon of juvenile delinquency is a natural process that occurs in everyone when they are experiencing a period of maturity. This will still be fairly reasonable if the behavior does not lead to deviant behavior. In 2019, Home Box Office (HBO) released a television series film titled Euphoria. This film series tells the story of a group of teenagers who navigate love and friendship in a world full of drugs, sex, trauma, and social media. This serial film focuses on the issue of juvenile delinquency and deviant behavior. Apart from these issues, this serial film also shows how the role and influence of parents on the deviant behavior of the child in each character in this serial film. Through semiotic analysis using Roland Barthes' theory, researchers have examined the representation of parental influence on deviant behavior Rue Bannet, Nate Jacobs, Maddy Perez, and Cassie Howard. Through the stages of denotation, connotation, and myth, the researcher concluded that in 1 out of 4 characters that the researchers studied, the parents did not influence the deviant behavior that the child did. In the case of Rue Bannet, her behavior came because of her desire to feel safe from the mental disorder she was suffering from, therefore Rue Bannet entered into the type of neurotic juvenile delinquency. As for the other 3 characters, researchers found that parents were very influential in the deviant behavior that the child did. In the case of Nate Jacobs, his father accidentally influenced the child's abusive nature because he kept his father's secret. That also makes Nate classified as a psychopathic juvenile delinquency type. Furthermore, in the case of Maddy Perez, she never received support from a mother figure or a father figure. While Cassie Howard, her parents have always fought since she was little in the end they divorced and Cassie lost the male figure in her life.
