Limbah ternak merupakan salah satu media pertumbuhan larva black soldier fly (bsf). penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui media limbah ternak yang terbaik untuk pertumbuhan larva bsf. penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (ral) faktorial menggunakan dua faktor yaitu jenis media dan waktu pertumbuhan. jenis media tumbuh larva bsf yang digunakan yaitu feses ayam, sapi, kelinci dan limbah ikan, masing-masing sebanyak 1 kg. waktu pengamatan dilakukan 3 kali yaitu hari ke-1, 10 dan 20. setiap unit percobaan diulang sebanyak 3 kali. jumlah larva bsf yang ditumbuhkan masing-masing 30 larva muda umur 5 hari dengan ukuran seragam. parameter yang diukur adalah berat dan panjang larva bsf. hasil penelitian yang diperoleh rata-rata berat larva bsf yang tumbuh pada feses ayam, sapi, kelinci dan limbah ikan selama 20 hari masing-masing yaitu 3,3 gr, 1,9 gr, 2,4 gr, dan 1,8 gr. rata-rata panjang larva bsf yang tumbuh pada feses ayam, sapi, kelinci dan limbah ikan masing-masing yaitu 1,3 cm, 1,0 cm, 1,1 cm dan 0,9 cm. secara rata-rata pertumbuhan larva bsf tertinggi terdapat pada feses ayam di hari ke-20 mencapai berat 3,7 gr dan panjang 1,3 cm. berdasarkan analisis statistik menunjukkan bahwa jenis media, waktu pertumbuhan dan interaksi antar perlakuan berpengaruh nyata (p



Abstract

Livestock waste is one of the media for Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae growth. This study aims to determine the best livestock waste media for BSF larval growth. This study used a factorial complete randomized design (CRD) using two factors, namely media type and growth time. The types of BSF larvae growth media used were chicken, cow, rabbit and fish waste, each as much as 1 kg. Observation time was conducted 3 times, namely day-1, 10 and 20. Each experimental unit was repeated 3 times. The number of BSF larvae grown was 30 young larvae aged 5 days each with uniform size. Parameters measured were weight and length of BSF larvae. The results obtained were the average weight of BSF larvae grown on chicken, cow, rabbit and fish waste for 20 days was 3.3 gr, 1.9 gr, 2.4 gr, and 1.8 gr, respectively. The average length of BSF larvae grown on chicken, cow, rabbit and fish waste feces were 1.3 cm, 1.0 cm, 1.1 cm and 0.9 cm, respectively.
