Para guru abad 21 harus mampu memanfaatkan berbagai platform teknologi terkini untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara siswanya yang seringkali dianggap sulit. penelitian ini mengkaji penerapan video youtube sebagai salah satu media teknologi yang mudah diakses untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa. penelitian tindakan kelas (ptk) yang mengadaptasi kemmis dan taggart yang meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi, dilaksanakan di sma x ipa 1 samatiga, terdiri dari enam belas (16) siswa: 8 perempuan dan 8 laki-laki. penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dengan masing-masing tiga kali pertemuan. selanjutnya data dikumpulkan melalui lembar observasi, tes, dan angket. lembar observasi dianalisis secara kualitatif dengan merangkai, mengkode, membandingkan, membangun interpretasi, dan melaporkan hasil (teori burn). sedangkan tes dan angket dianalisis secara kuantitatif. tes dianalisis dengan menghitung dan membandingkan rata-rata postes siklus 1 dan 2 (sudijono, 2003). selain itu, angket dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan menghitung persentase untuk mengetahui rata-rata hasil respon siswa (sugiyono, 2007). penelitian membuktikan bahwa penggunaan video youtube sebagai media dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara dan minat siswa dalam belajar bahasa inggris serta membuat mereka lebih percaya diri dalam berbicara.

Abstract
The 21st-century teachers must be able to utilize the latest various technology platforms to improve their students' speaking skills which are often considered difficult. This study examines the implementation of YouTube videos as one of the easily accessible technology media to enhance students’ speaking skills. Classroom Action Research (CAR), adapting Kemmis and Taggart’s which covers planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting, was conducted in X IPA Senior High School 1 Samatiga, consisting of sixteen (16) students: 8 females and 8 males. The research was carried out in two cycles with three meetings in each. Furthermore, the data were collected through the observation sheet, test, and questionnaire. The observation sheet was analyzed qualitatively by assembling, coding, comparing, building interpretations, and reporting the outcomes (Burn’s theory). Meanwhile, the test and questionnaire were analyzed quantitatively. The test was analyzed by calculating and comparing the means of the post-test cycle 1 and 2 (Sudijono, 2003). Moreover, the questionnaire was analyzed descriptively by calculating percentages to find out the average result of the students’ responses (Sugiyono, 2007). The research proved that using YouTube videos as a medium can enhance students’ speaking skills and interest in learning English and make them more confident in speaking.
