Daun kari merupakan tanaman yang populer digunakan sebagai bahan masakan dan juga memiliki banyak khasiat sebagai obat tradisional, salah satunya adalah antitumor. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran histopatologi ginjal tikus pasca pemberian ekstrak etanol daun kari pada terapi tumor mammae. penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan sembilan ekor tikus sprague dawley betina yang dibagi menjadi tiga kelompok perlakuan. kelompok 1 sebagai kontrol negatif, kelompok 2 dan 3, tikus diinduksi dengan tumor mammae, kemudian diterapi dengan ekstrak etanol daun kari dosis 300 mg/kg dan 400 mg/kg bobot badan selama 30 hari. parameter pemeriksaan ginjal berdasarkan adanya degenerasi sel, kongesti, infiltrasi sel radang, dan sel nekrosis. hasil penelitian memperlihatkan kelompok 1 tidak ditemukan kerusakan. kelompok 2 ditemukan degenerasi sel, infiltrasi sel radang, dan nekrosis dengan kategori ringan, dan kelompok 3 memperlihatkan degenerasi sel, kongesti dan nekrosis dengan kategori ringan. sedangkan infiltrasi sel radang dengan kategori sedang. berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa histopatologi pada organ ginjal tikus memiliki tingkat kerusakan ringan yang bersifat reversible sehingga aman untuk dijadikan obat herbal.

Curry leaves are a plant that is popularly used as a cooking ingredient and also has many properties as a traditional medicine, one of which is antitumor. This study aims to determine the histopathological picture of rat kidneys after administration of ethanol extract of curry leaves in the treatment of mammary tumors. This research was conducted using nine female Sprague Dawley rats which were divided into three treatment groups. Group 1 as a negative control, groups 2 and 3, rats induced with mammary tumors, were then treated with ethanol extract of curry leaves at a dose of 300 mg/kg and 400 mg/kg body weight for 30 days. Parameters of kidney examination based on the presence of cell degeneration, congestion, inflammatory cell infiltration, and necrotic cells. The results showed that group 1 found no damage. Group 2 showed mild cell degeneration, inflammatory cell infiltration, and necrosis, and group 3 showed mild cell degeneration, congestion and necrosis. while the infiltration of inflammatory cells with moderate category. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the histopathology of the rat kidneys has a mild level of damage that is reversible so that it is safe to be used as herbal medicine
