Kata kunci: instagram, jenis konten instagram, remaja instagram adalah salah satu aplikasi media sosial yang saat ini digemari oleh masyarakat terutama remaja. terdapat jenis konten yang diikuti remaja sma serta kondisi penggunaan instagram pada remaja yang bermacam-macam. penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui jenis konten instagram yang diikuti remaja sma di kecamatan labuhanhaji. jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian survei. penentuan subjek menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. subjek penelitian ini adalah 217 siswa dari kelas 1 hingga kelas 3 sma di kecamatan labuhanhaji. teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket terbuka dan angket tertutup. data dianalisis secara statistik deskriptif dengan tabel distribusi frekuensi relatif. hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan instagram oleh remaja sma di kecamatan labuhanhaji yaitu ketika bosan dengan presentasenya 48.8%. remaja sma di kecamatan labuhanhaji mengikuti berbagai macam konten yaitu konten inspiratif, konten edukatif, konten informatif, konten story, konten menghibur, konten marketing, dan konten interaksi di instagram. paling banyak remaja sma mengikuti konten instagram story dengan presentasenya 31.3%, remaja sma selalu mengikuti dan melihat story dari akun yang dikenalnya saja.

There are types of content that high school teenagers follow and various conditions of Instagram use in teenagers. This study was conducted with the aim of finding out the type of Instagram content followed by high school teenagers in Labuhanhaji Subdistrict. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative with survey research design. Determination of subjects using cluster random sampling technique. The subjects of this study were 217 students from grade 1 to grade 3 of high school in Labuhanhaji subdistrict. Data collection techniques using open questionnaires and closed questionnaires. The data were analyzed in a descriptive statistical manner with a table of relative frequency distributions. The results of this study showed that the use of Instagram by high school teenagers in Labuhanhaji subdistrict was when bored with a percentage of 48.8%. High school teenagers in Labuhanhaji subdistrict participate in inspirational content, educational content, informative content, story content, entertaining content, marketing content, and interaction content on Instagram. At most, high school teens follow Instagram story content with a percentage of 31.3%, high school teens always follow and see stories from accounts they know.
