Prarancangan pabrik natrium silikat menggunakan pasir silika dan natrium hidroksida sebagai bahan baku utama. proses produksi secara keseluruhan menggunakan proses brunner mond dengan konversi reaksi 90,3%. kapasitas produksi sebesar 50.000 ton/tahun dengan waktu operasi 330 hari/tahun dan waktu 24 jam/hari. pabrik ini direncanakan didirikan di kabupaten purwakarta, provinsi jawa barat, indonesia dengan luas area pabrik 24.780 m2 . bentuk perusahaan yang direncanakan adalah perseroan terbatas (pt) dengan menggunakan metode struktur organisasi garis dan staf (tenaga kerja sebanyak 140 orang). kebutuhan air untuk pabrik berasal dari sungai citarum dengan laju alir 481.598,95 kg/jam, dan untuk kebutuhan listrik diperoleh dari generator dengan daya 1725,54 kw. hasil analisis ekonomi diperoleh sebagai berikut: 1. fixed capital investment (fci) = rp. 227.647.193.598 2. working capital investment (wci) = rp. 56.911.798.400 3. total capital investment (tci) = rp. 284.558.991.998 4. total production cost (tpc) = rp. 570.623.009.508 5. sales cost (sc) = rp. 675.000.000.000 6. pay out time (pot) = 2 tahun 6 bulan 6 hari 7. break event point (bep) = 48,2 % 8. internal rate of return (irr) = 23,32 % berdasarkan studi kelayakan teknis dan ekonomis diatas, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa prarancangan pabrik natrium silikat ini layak untuk dilanjutkan ke tahap konstruksi



Abstract

The sodium silicate plant proposal uses silica sand and sodium hydroxide as the main raw materials. The overall production process using the brunner mond process with a reaction conversion of 90.3%.
