Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh hasil belajar siswa yang rendah dan pembelajaran yang masih berpusat pada guru membuat siswa terlihat tidak aktif dalam pembelajaran. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model problem based learning (pbl) terhadap hasil belajar ipa siswa materi siklus air kelas v sdn 1 setia aceh barat daya. penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif metode eksperimen dengan jenis penelitian pre-experimental designs, desain one-group pretest-posttest design. pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik sampling total dengan siswa kelas v sdn 1 setia aceh barat daya yang berjumlah 25 siswa. hasil analisis data pretest dan posttest pada materi siklus air dengan menggunakan model pbl menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata pretest adalah 41,40, sedangkan posttest siswa adalah 87,80. hasil pengujian hipotesis dengan statistik uji-t paired samples test diperoleh nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000

This research is motivated by low student learning outcomes and the learning process which is still teacher-centered makes students look inactive in learning.. This study aims to determine the effect of using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on student’science learning outcomes on water cycle material for class V SDN 1 Setia Aceh Barat Daya. This study uses quantitative approach to the experimental method with the type of research Pre-Experimental Designs, One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Sampling was taken using total sampling technique with 25 grade V students at SDN 1 Setia Aceh Barat Daya. The results of the pretest and posttest data analysis on the water cycle material using the PBL model showed that the average pretest score was 41.40, while the student’s posttest was 87.80.
