Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang efektivitas umpan terhadap keragaman jenis kupu-kupu penghisap buah di stasiun penelatian soraya, kawasan ekosistem leuser, dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas umpan terhadap keragaman jenis kupu-kupu penghisap buah menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan perangkap cylindrical gauze berumpan pada 35 titik dari 7 jalur di stasiun penelitian soraya. sebanyak empat jenis umpan (nanas, belimbing, pisang dan buah simpur) diujikan secara multiple choice test. penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan desember 2022 - mei 2023. hasil penelitian ini diperoleh sebanyak 39 jenis dari 171 individu kupu-kupu penghisap buah yang tergolong dari famili nhymphalidae, dengan indeks keanekaagaman tergolong tinggi (h’=3,03). berdasarkan jumlah jenis yang didapat preferensi terhadap umpan nanas, belimbing dan pisang tidak menunjukkan perbedaan (uji tukey p > 0,05) tetapi terdapat perbedaan terhadap umpan simpur.



Abstract

Research has been carried out on the effectiveness of bait on various types of fruit-feeding butterflies at the Soraya Research Station, The leuser ecosystem area, with the aim of knowing the effectiveness of the bait against a variety of butterfly species used an experimental method with baited cylindrical gauze traps at 35 points of 7 lines at the Soraya Research Station. A total of four types of bait (pineapple, starfruit, banana and simpur fruit) were tested using a multiple choice test. tested by multiple choice test. This research was conducted in December 2022 - May 2023. The results of this study obtained as many as 39 species from 171 individual fruit-sucking butterflies belonging to the Nhymphalidae family, with a high diversity index (H'=3.03). Based on the number of species obtained, there was no difference in preference to pineapple, star fruit and banana bait (Tukey test p > 0.05) but there was a difference to simpur bait.
