Prarancangan pabrik surfaktan mes menggunakan bahan baku palm stearin methyl ester dan so3 yang diproduksi dari sulfur serta udara. palm stearin methyl ester diperoleh dari pt. bakrie renewable chemicals sementara bahan baku untuk memproduksi so3 yaitu sulfur diperoleh dari shanghai orisen new materials technology co., ltd dan udara diperoleh secara bebas di sekitar lokasi pabrik. pabrik ini beroperasi selama 330 hari/tahun dengan kapasitas produksi 27.000 ton/tahun. perseroan terbatas (pt) adalah bentuk perusahaan yang direncanakan dengan menggunakan struktur garis dan staf. kebutuhan tenaga kerja untuk menjalankan perusahaan ini berjumlah 140 orang. lokasi pabrik direncanakan didirikan di desa binjai, kecamatan seruway, kabupaten aceh tamiang dengan luas tanah 18.835 m2. kebutuhan air untuk pabrik ini sebesar 64.673,72 kg/jam yang diperoleh dari sungai tamiang. sumber listrik diperoleh dari perusahaan listrik negara (pln) dan generator dengan daya 1.688,84 kw. hasil analisa ekonomi yang diperoleh adalah sebagai berikut: 1. fixed capital investment (fci) = rp 819.279.407.631 2. working capital investment (wci) = rp 204.819.851.908 3. total capital investment (tci) = rp 1.024.099.259.538 4. total production cost (tpc) = rp 459.069.756.795 5. selling cost (sc) = rp 1.190.570.930.346 6. pay out time (pot) = 2,77 tahun 7. break event point (bep) = 35% 8. internal rate of return (irr) = 34,29% 9. return on investment (roi) = 54%

MES surfactant factory design uses Palm Stearin Methyl Ester and SO3 raw materials which are produced from sulfur and air. Palm Stearin Methyl Ester obtained from PT. Bakrie Renewable Chemicals while the raw materials for producing SO3 namely sulfur are obtained from Shanghai Orisen New Materials Technology Co., Ltd and air is obtained freely around the factory site. This factory operates for 330 days/year with a production capacity of 27,000 tons/year. Limited Liability Company (PT) is a planned form of company using a line and staff structure. The workforce needed to run this company is 140 people. The factory location is planned to be established in Binjai village, Seruway District, Aceh Tamiang Regency with a land area of 18,835 m2. The water requirement for this factory is 64,673.72 kg/hour which is obtained from the Tamiang river. The amount of electricity is obtained from the State Electricity Company (PLN) and a generator with 1.688,84 kW power. The results of the economic analysis obtained are as follows: 1. Internal Rate of Return (IRR) = 34,29% 9. Return on Investment (ROI) = 54%
