Kerukunan umat beragama adalah kondisi dimana sesama manusia hidup berdampingan secara damai dan menerima perbedaan lain dalam setiap kelompok. menghormati, menghargai, saling menerima seperti apa adanya, aceh salah satu provinsi yang berada di indonesia yang menerapkan pelaksanaan syariat islam. meskipun aceh berpenduduk mayoritas muslim, akan tetapi banyak juga umat beragama non muslim yang ada di aceh. salah satunya di kabupaten aceh singkil yang memiliki keberagaman agama yang sering terjadi konflik salah satunya konflik pendirian rumah ibadah, maka perlu peran pemerintah daerah untuk menjaga kerukunan umat bergama di aceh singkil agar tidak mengulan konflik kemabali. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan peran pemerintah daerah aceh singkil dalam menjaga kerukunan umat beragama, serta menjelaskan hambatan pemerintah daerah aceh singkil dalam menjaga kerukunan umat beragama. jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. selanjutnya teknik analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) peran pemerintah daerah aceh singkil dalam menjaga kerukunan umat beragama meliputi; a) sebagai fasilitator terlihat dari pemerintah menfasilitasi, menyelenggarkan program-program dan megesahkan kepengurusan forum-forum yang berkaitan dengan kerukunan beragama dikabupaten aceh singkil. b) sebagai koordinator, pemerintah aceh singkil menjelaskan serta menjamin informasi kepada masyarakat aceh singkil terkait progres seperti memberikan arahan pada rapat forum kerukunan umat beragama dan koordinasi penyelesain persilisihan konflik tentang pendirian rumah ibadah. c) sebagai regulator dalam pemeliharaan kerukunan umat beragama berarti pemerintah memberikan perizinan terkait pendirian rumah ibadah sesuai dengan syarat-syarat yang harus dipenuhi oleh sipemohon. 2) hambatan pemerintah dalam memelihara kerukunan umat beragama yakni: adanya pandangan dan respon tidak baik terhadap pemerintah, kurangnya sosialisasi pemerintah terhadap peraturan atau qanun yang berlaku dikarena minimnya distribusi anggaran serta pemberitaan media massa yang berlebihan yang mengatakan bahwa aceh singkil intoleransi. kata kunci : peran, pemerintah daerah, kerukunan, umat beragama.

Religious harmony is a condition where human beings live side by side peacefully and accept other differences in each group. Respect, appreciate, accept each other as they are, Aceh is one of the provinces in Indonesia that implements the implementation of Islamic law. Even though Aceh has a Muslim majority population, there are also many non-Muslim religious people in Aceh. One of them is in Aceh Singkil Regency, which has religious diversity where conflicts often occur, one of which is the bidding conflict over places of worship. Therefore, the role of the local government is needed to maintain religious harmony in Aceh Singkil so that conflicts do not recur. This study aims to reveal the role of the Aceh Singkil local government in maintaining religious harmony, as well as explain the obstacles to the Aceh Singkil local government in maintaining religious harmony. This type of research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. Furthermore, data analysis techniques use data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions and verification. The results of the study show that: 1) The role of the Aceh Singkil local government in maintaining religious harmony includes; a) as a Facilitator seen from the government facilitating, organizing programs and legitimizing the management of forums related to religious harmony in Aceh Singkil district. b) as the coordinator, the Government of Aceh Singkil explains and guarantees information to the people of Aceh Singkil regarding progress such as providing directions at forums for religious harmony meetings and coordinating the resolution of conflict disputes regarding accommodation for places of worship. c) as a regulator in maintaining religious harmony, it means that the government provides facilities related to the preparation of houses of worship in accordance with the requirements that must be met by the applicant. 2) Obstacles to the government in maintaining religious harmony, namely: The existence of unfavorable views and responses to the Government, the lack of government socialization of applicable regulations or qanuns due to the lack of budget distribution and excessive mass media coverage which says that Aceh Singkil is intolerance.
