Penelitian “tingkat kesuburan perairan kota lhokseumawe berdasarkan sebaran nitrat dan fosfat terhadap kelimpahan fitoplankton” dilakukan pada bulan februari-maret 2023 yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kesuburan perairan lhokseumawe berdasarkan sebaran nitrat dan fosfat. penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan menggunakan metode purposive sampling. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa didapat nilai nitrat sebesar 0,6 mg/l dan fosfat memiliki nilai rata-rata 0,02 mg/l. berdasarkan hasil uji konsentrasi nitrat dan fosfat di perairan kota lhokseumawe tergolong kategori oligotrofik (rendah). kelimpahan fitoplankton memiliki nilai kelimpahan berkisar antara 100-366 ind/l. secara keseluruhan kelimpahan fitoplankton yang ditemukan pada lokasi penelitian tergolong ke dalam kategori oligotrofik. hasil analisis regresi linear menunjukkan bahwa kelimpahan fitoplankton di perairan lhokseumawe dipengaruhi oleh ketersediaan nutrien berupa nitrat dan fosfat. nitrat mempengaruhi kelimpahan fitoplankton sebesar 100% yang memiliki korelasi hubungan kuat, sedangkan fosfat 15,4% dan dikategorikan memiliki korelasi hubungan lemah. kata kunci: nitrat, fosfat, kelimpahan, perairan lhokseumawe.



Abstract

The research "Fertility Level of Lhokseumawe City Waters Based on the Distribution of Nitrate and Phosphate Against Phytoplankton Abundance" was conducted in February-March 2023 which aims to determine the fertility level of Lhokseumawe waters based on the distribution of nitrate and phosphate. This research was conducted using purposive sampling method. The results showed that the nitrate value was 0.6 mg/l and phosphate had an average value of 0.02 mg/l. Based on the test results, nitrate and phosphate concentrations in Lhokseumawe City Waters are classified as oligotrophic (low) category. Phytoplankton abundance has an abundance value ranging from 100-366 ind/l. Overall, the abundance of phytoplankton found at the research site belongs to the oligotrophic category. The results of linear regression analysis showed that phytoplankton abundance in Lhokseumawe Waters was influenced by the availability of nutrients in the form of nitrate and phosphate. Nitrate affects phytoplankton abundance by 100% which has a strong correlation relationship, while phosphate is 15.4% and is categorized as having a weak correlation relationship.
