Abstrak yellowfin tuna merupakan salah satu sumberdaya perikanan yang melimpah di perairan utara aceh, terutama di wilayah tpi laweung dan dermaga ulee cot. tingginya produksi yellowfin tuna tidak terlepas dari upaya yang dilakukan oleh nelayan. berdasarkan survei awal diketahui terjadinya peningkatan armada, nelayan dan fishing ground yang semakin menjauh di kedua wilayah tersebut. alat tangkap yang digunakan nelayan di tpi laweung dan dermaga ulee cot adalah pancing ulur dengan metode penangkapan seperti lampung, balap, pancot, dawai, dan seret. tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan kondisi sosial masyarakat nelayan pancing ulur dan menganalisis keadaan ekonomi nelayan pancing ulur berdasarkan tingkat pendapatan yang berlokasi di tpi laweung dan dermaga ulee cot. metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode survei dan deskriptif yang meliputi data primer dan data sekunder dan wawancara nelayan secara langsung dengan jumlah responden 45 nelayan. analisis yang digunakan yaitu analisis deskriptif sosial dan analisis pendapatan nelayan berdasarkan total biaya, penerimaan dan pendapatan. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kondisi sosial nelayan di kedua wilayah berdasarkan indikator pendidikan umumnya sma sebesar 38,5% dan 52,6%, sedangkan indikator memiliki rumah permanen 24 nelayan dan semi permanen 21 nelayan, dan untuk empat indikator lainnya didominasi jumlah tanggungan keluarga sebanyak 0-3 orang dengan pengalaman melaut masing-masing nelayan 6-10 tahun dan 67% dari seluruh nelayan hanya berprofesi sebagai nelayan tanpa pekerjaan sampingan lainnya. dan keuntungan yang diperoleh setiap nelayan dari hasil penjualan yellowfin tuna selama bulan maret di tpi laweung sebesar rp. 1.474.561/trip dan di dermaga ulee cot sebesar rp. 3.385.760/trip bulan, dan nelayan pancing ulur di kedua wilayah berada pada tingkatan sejahtera berdasarkan ump aceh yaitu rp. 3.400.000/bulan. kata kunci: yellowfin tuna, sosial, ekonomi, perairan utara aceh

ABSTRACT Yellowfin tuna is one of the abundant fishery resources in the North Aceh Waters, especially in the Laweung fishing base and Ulee Cot fishing base. The high production of yellowfin tuna is inseparable from the efforts made by fishermen. Based on the initial survey, it is known that there has been an increase in fleets, fishermen and fishing ground that are getting further away in the two regions. The fishing gear used by fishermen at Laweung fishing base and Ulee Cot fishing base is hand line with fishing methods such as lampung, balap, pancot, dawai and seret. The purpose of this study was to describe the social conditions of hand line fishing communities and to analyze the economic conditions of hand line fishermen based on income levels located at Laweung fishing base and Ulee Cot fishing base. The method used in this study is a survey and descriptive method which includes primary data and secondary data and direct interviews with fishermen with a total of 45 fishermen as respondents. The analysis used is social descriptive analysis and fishermen's income analysis based on total costs, revenues and income. The results showed that the social conditions of fishermen in the two regions based on education indicators were generally high school at 38.5% and 52.6%, while the indicator of having permanent homes was 24 fishermen and semi-permanent 21 fishermen, and for the other four indicators the number of family dependents was dominated by 0 -3 people with fishing experience of 6-10 years each and 67% of all fishermen only work as fishermen without other side jobs. And the profit each fisherman gets from selling yellowfin tuna during March at TPI Laweung is Rp. 1,474,561/trip and at Ulee Cot Pier for Rp. 3,385,760/month trip, and hand line fishermen in the two regions are at a prosperous level based on the Aceh UMP, was Rp. 3,400,000/month.
