Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari tahu tentang mengaplikasikan hidden picture guessing game dalam meningkatkan kemampuan speaking siswa. subjek dari penelitian ini merupakan kelas x yang terdiri dair 20 siswa dari man 4 aceh besar tahun ajaran 2022-2023. teknik analisis data dari penelitian ini merupakan data kuantitatif. data kuantitatif diambil dari sebuah pengujian seperti: satu kelompok kelas pre-test dan post-test. data kuantitatif dianalisis dari nilai siswa pada pre-test dan post-test. hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa adanya peningkatan nilai siswa dalam aspek speaking menggunakan hidden picture guessing game. rata-rata dari nilai siswa pada pre-test adalah 35.8. nilai tersebut masih rendah dibuktikan dengan hanya 1 siswa yang mendapatkan nilai 65-79. kemudian rata-rata dari nilai siswapada post-test adalah 79.6. nilai tersebut lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan nilai pre-test. nilai tersebut menunjukan bahwasanya peningkatan dari aspek speaking siswa signifikan. para siswa menjadi lebih aktif, antusias, dan tertatik dalam kegiatan belajar. ini dapat disimpulkan bahwasannya implementasi dari hidden picture guessing game efektif dalam meningkatkan ketertarikan siswa dalam mengikuti proses belajar mengajar.



Abstract

This research was aimed to find out the applying of hidden picture guessing game to improve students’ speaking ability. The subject of this research was a class which consisted of 20 students at ten grade of MAN 4 Aceh Besar 2022-2023 academic year. The technique of analyzing data of this research was using quantitative data. The quantitative data were taken from the tests such as: one group pre-test and post-test design. The quantitative data were analyzed from students’ score in the pre-test and post-test. The result of the research showed that there was the increasing score of students in speaking aspects by using hidden picture guessing game. The mean of the students’ score in the pre-test was 35.8. It was still low because only 1 student who got the score 65-79. And the mean of the students’ score in the post-test was 79.6. It was higher than the pre-test to post-test. It indicated that the improvement of the students’ speaking aspects was significant. The students were more active, enthusiastic and interested in the learning activity. It can be concluded that the implementation of hidden picture guessing game was effective to improve the students’ interest in following the learning teaching process.
