Abstrak kemampuan perawat dalam melakukan proses keperawatan sangat diperlukan agar tidak terjadi kesalahan dan kelalaian dalam memberikan pelayanan keperawatan. hal ini akan berdampak pada keselamatan pasien dan menurunkan kualitas pelayanan keperawatan. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui determinan kemampuan perawat dalam melakukan proses keperawatan. desain penelitian adalah cross sectional study dengan sampel 197 perawat pelaksana yang dipilih dengan teknik proportional random sampling. alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah kuesioner yang terdiri dari kuesioner pengetahuan perawat tentang proses keperawatan, kuesioner beban kerja nasa tlx, kuesioner motivasi the unified motive scale (ums) dan kuesioner nursing profesional competence (npc) scale yang telah di uji validitas dan reliabilitas. analisa data mengunakan uji chi square dan regresi logistik berganda. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan antara pendidikan (p=0,016) dan pengetahuan (p=0,027) dengan kemampuan perawat dalam melakukan proses keperawatan, sebaliknya tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara beban kerja (p=0,245), pelatihan (p=0,388) dan motivasi (p=0,092) dengan kemampuan perawat dalam melakukan proses keperawatan. variabel yang paling dominan berhubungan dengan kemampuan perawat dalam melakukan proses keperawatan adalah pengetahuan (p=0,012). pengetahuan perawat yang tinggi akan meningkatkan kemampuan perawat dalam melakukan proses keperawatan, sehingga akan meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan asuhan keperawatan. rumah sakit perlu meningkatkan pengetahuan perawat dengan cara mengadakan workshop/seminar pelatihan tentang proses keperawatan secara periodik. kata kunci : kemampuan perawat, pengetahuan, proses keperawatan daftar pustaka : 18 buku, 1 tesis, 29 jurnal, 2 sumber online (2012-2021)

ABSTRACT The ability of nurses to carry out the nursing process is critical so that errors and negligence in providing nursing services do not occur. It is will impact patient safety and lower the quality of nursing services. This study aimed to investigate the determinant of the nurses' ability to carry out the nursing process. This cross-sectional study included 197 respondents who were selected using the proportional random sampling technique. The data was collected using questionnaires consisting of the nurse's knowledge questionnaire about the nursing process, the NASA TLX workload questionnaire, the Unified Motive Scale (UMS) motivational questionnaire, and the Nursing Professional Competence (NPC) Scale questionnaire, all of which had been validated and reliability tests. The Chi Square test and multiple logistic regression were used to analyze the data. The findings revealed a significant relationship between education (p=0.016) and knowledge (p=0.027) and nurses' ability to carry out the nursing process. On the other hand, workload (p=0.245), training (p=0.388), and motivation (p=0.092) had no significant relationship with the nurse's ability to carry out the nursing process. Knowledge (p=0.012) was the most dominant variable related to the nurse's ability to carry out the nursing process. High nurse knowledge will improve the nurse's ability in carry out the nursing process, so that it will improve the quality of nursing care services. Hospitals need to increase the knowledge of nurses by conducting workshops/training seminars on the nursing process periodically.
