Supervisi akademik dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru di smp negeri kota banda aceh oleh : fadhilah npm : 2009200050012 komisi pembimbing: 1. prof. dr. murniati ar, m. pd. 2. dr. nasir usman, m. pd. abstrak supervisi akademik merupakan suatu proses yang dirancang secara khusus untuk membantu meningkatkan dan mengembangkan pengetahuan serta kemampuan guru dalam melaksanakan proses belajar mengajar. tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: (1), perencanaan supervisi akademik dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru di smpn kota banda aceh, (2) pelaksanaan supervisi akademik dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru di smpn kota banda aceh, (3), evaluasi supervisi akademik dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru di smpn kota banda aceh, (4), tindak lanjut supervisi akademik dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru di smpn kota banda aceh, (5), faktor pendukung dan penghambat supervisi akdemik dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru di smpn kota banda aceh. teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. subjek penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah bidang kurikulum, dan guru. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) penyusunan perencanaan supervisi akademik dilakukan setiap awal tahun ajaran baru atau awal semester, penyusunan perencanaan kegiatan supervisi akademik dengan melibatkan wakil kepala sekolah dan guru-guru, perencanaan yang dilakukan dengan pembentukan tim supervisi, tim supervisor, menentukan jadwal pelaksanaan, menentukan instrumen yang digunakan dan disosialisasikan kepada semua warga sekolah, (2) pelaksanaan supervisi akademik dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru dilakukan dengan menyampaikan hal-hal yang berkaitan dengan pelaksanaan kegiatan supervisi akademik, pendekatan yang digunakan yaitu secara langsung sedangkan teknik yang digunakan teknik perorangan dan kelompok, (3) evaluasi supervisi akademik dilakukan pasca observasi kelas dari hasil catatan selama pengamatan, (4) tidak lanjut yang diberikan berupa peyampaian secara umum oleh kepala sekolah tentang hasil pelaksanaan supervisi serta mengadakan atau mengikutkan guru dalam pelatihan dan kegiatan mgmp, (5) faktor pendukung terlaksananya program supervisi akademik yaitu adanya jadwal dan tim pelaksana supervisi akademik, sedangkang faktor penghambat yaitu masih seringnya terjadi penundaan pelaksanaan supervisi baik oleh kepala sekolah maupun tim dari guru senior. kata kunci : supervisi akademik dan kinerja guru

Abstract
ACADEMIC SUPERVISION IN IMPROVING TEACHER PERFORMANCE AT STATE JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOLS OF BANDA ACEH ABSTRACT (Fadhilah) Academic supervision is a process specifically designed to help improve and develop the knowledge and abilities of teachers in carrying out the learning process. This study aimed to obtain information related to: (1) the planning for academic supervision; (2) the implementation of academic supervision; (3) the evaluation of academic supervision; (4) the follow ups on academic supervision; as well as (5) the supporting and inhibiting factors of academic supervision. This study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The data were collected through observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The data analysis covered the stages of data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The results of the study showed that: (1) the academic supervision planning was prepared by the school principal during a meeting with the teacher council at the beginning of each semester by forming a committee team to assist the school principal. The planning for academic supervision was included in the academic supervision document covering the supervision committee and supervisory team, the implementation schedule and the instruments used. However, there was one school that did not prepare a supervision planning document. In addition, (2) the implementation of academic supervision was carried out by the school principal and the supervisor team with all teachers as the target according to a predetermined schedule. The implementation stages included the pre-observation stage (initial meeting), class observation and post-observation. A direct approach was used with individual and group techniques. Moreover, (3) the evaluation of academic supervision was carried out after class observation based on the notes taken during the observation. It was also found that (4) the academic supervision was followed up directly and indirectly by the principal. The principal used the results of academic supervision as material in considering the post-supervision follow-up activities by conducting training for teachers related to the problems faced and directing teachers to actively participate in teacher group activities. Lastly, (5) the factors supporting the implementation of the principal's academic supervision program were the availability of senior teachers as supervisors and all teachers were willing to be supervised. While the inhibiting factor was the delay in the implementation of supervision due to the busyness of the principal and teachers who had not optimally prepared learning administration.
