Penggunaan media sosial telah menjadi suatu kebutuhan dikalangan remaja. tingginya pengguna media sosial di kalangan remaja memicu peningkatan cyberbullying. situasi ini sangat berbahaya bagi kesehatan jiwa remaja, mengingat cyberbullying dapat meningkatkan tekanan emosional, depresi, harga diri rendah, kecemasan, isolasi sosial, dan performa akademik menurun. tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran perilaku cyberbullying pada siswa sma. penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif eksploratif dengan desain cross sectional study. pemilihan sampel menggunakan teknik non-probability sampling dengan metode purposive sampling dengan populasi 257 siswa, setelah dilakukan seleksi dengan kriterita yang telah ditetapkan, maka sampel yang diperoleh sebanyak 235 responden. pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket (cyberbullying and online aggression survey instrument). hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perilaku cyberbullying offending berada pada katagori rendah yaitu 202 responden (86%) dan perilaku cyberbullying victimization juga berada pada kategori rendah yaitu sebanyak 194 responden (82,6%). hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat cyberbullying dikalangan siswa sma berada pada kategori rendah. diharapkan sekolah tetap harus sadar bahwa kemungkinan peningkatan cyberbullying masih sangat tinggi. sekolah secara terus menerus mensosialisasikan efek negatif dari cyberbullying bagi korban sehingga siswa lebih bijak menggunakan media sosial sebagai alat komunikasi dan sharing informasi.



Abstract

The use of social media has become a necessity among teenagers. The high number of social media users among teenagers triggers an increase in cyberbullying. This situation is very dangerous for adolescent mental health, considering that cyberbullying can increase emotional stress, depression, low self-esteem, anxiety, social isolation, and decreased academic achievement.The purpose of this study is to describe cyberbullying behavior in senior high school. This research is a descriptive exploratory study with a cross sectional study design. The sample selection used a non-probability sampling technique with a purposive sampling method with a population of 257 students. After the selection was made with predetermined criteria, a sample of 235 respondents was obtained. Data collection was carried out through a questionnaire (Cyberbullying and Online Aggression Survey Instrument). The results showed that cyberbullying was included in the low category, namely 202 respondents (86%) and cyberbullying victimization was also included in the low category, namely 194 respondents (82.6%). The results of this study indicate that the level of cyberbullying among senior high school is in the low category. The school is expected to remain aware that the possibility of an increase in cyberbullying is still very high. Schools continue to socialize the negative impact of cyberbullying on victims so that students use social media wisely as a means of communication and sharing information.
