Abstrak judul : kausalitas pertumbuhan ekonomi, kepadatan penduduk, dan kemiskinan di provinsi aceh nama : fahmil aqsa npm 1601101010008 jurusan/fakultas : ekonomi pembangunan/ekonomi dan bisnis dosen pembimbing : prof. dr. raja masbar s.e., m.sc konsentrasi : ekonomi publik penelitian ini dilakukan di provinsi aceh terhadap variabel pertumbuhan ekonomi, kepadatan penduduk, dan kemiskinan, data yang digunakan berupa data time series tahunan yaitu tahun 2000-2021 yang berasal dari badan pusat statistik (bps) aceh. penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dan kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis data vector error correction model (vecm) yang disesuaikan dengan rumusan masalah dan tujuan penelitian. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam jangka pendek, variabel pertumbuhan ekonomi dan kepadatan penduduk secara bersama-sama berdampak negatif terhadap kemiskinan. kemudian variabel kemiskinan dan kepadatan penduduk secara bersama-sama berdampak negatif terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi dalam jangka pendek. sementara itu, variabel kemiskinan dan pertumbuhan ekonomi secara individual memiliki pengaruh yang berlawanan dalam jangka panjang. hal ini menjelaskan bahwa ketiga variabel tersebut merupakan faktor penting dalam perekonomian. diharapkan pemerintah mampu menciptakan percepatan pertumbuhan ekonomi untuk mengimbangi pertumbuhan kepadatan penduduk sehingga dapat menurunkan angka kemiskinan secara signifikan. kata kunci: pertumbuhan ekonomi, kepadatan penduduk, kemiskinan

ABSTRACT Title : Causality of Economic Growth, Population Density, and Poverty in Aceh Province Name : Fahmil Aqsa Student ID 1601101010008 Department/Faculty : Development Economics/Economics and Business Academic Advisor : Prof. Dr. Raja Masbar S.E., M.Sc Concentration : Public Economics This research consists in in Aceh Province of the variables of economic growth, population density, and poverty, the data used is in the form of annual time series data, namely 2000-2021, which comes from the Aceh Central Statistics Agency (BPS). This study uses descriptive and quantitative methods with the data analysis technique Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) which is in line with the problem formulation and research objectives. The results of the research show that in the short term, the variables of economic growth and population density together harm poverty. Then the variables of poverty and population density together harm economic growth in the short term. Meanwhile, the variables of poverty and economic growth individually have opposite effects in the long run. This explains that these three variables are important factors in the economy. It is hoped that the government will be able to create accelerated economic growth to offset the growth in population density so that it can significantly reduce the poverty rate.
