Rumusan masalah penelitian ini adalah bagaimanakah kemampuan membaca pemahaman teks eksposisi siswa kelas viii mtsn 1 pidie jaya? tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendiskripsikan kemampuan membaca pemahaman teks eksposisi kelas viii mtsn 1 pidie jaya. penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas viii mtsn 1 pidie jaya. keseluruhan populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 164 siswa, dengan sampel sebanyak 33 siswa. teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tes yang bersifat objektif. tes yang diberikan kepada sampel berupa 15 soal yang berkaitan dengan teks eksposisi yang berjudul “efektivitas masker kain cegah covid-19 paling rendah”. hasil dari penelitian kemampuan membaca pemahaman teks eksposisi siswa kelas viii mtsn 1 pidie jaya berada pada kategori baik. nilai rata-rata yang dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah 74.

The problem formulation of the research is how to make the reading comprehension of exposition text ability in grade VIII MTsN 1 Pidie Jaya?. The research aims at describing the reading comprehension of exposition text ability in grade VIII MTsN 1 Pidie Jaya. This research uses a quantitative method with a descriptive type. The entire population in this research amounted to 164 students, with a sample of 33 students. Data collection techniques in this research used objective test. The test given to the sample consist of 15 questions related to the exposition text entitled “The Lowest Effectiveness of Fabric Mask to Prevent Covid-19”. The result of the research on the reading comprehension of exposition text ability in grade VIII MTsN 1 Pidie Jaya fall into the good category. The average value achieved in this research was 74.
