Degenerasi adalah perubahan jaringan dari bentuk yang lebih tinggi ke yang lebih rendah, terutama pada fungsional nya yang menjadi kurang aktif. prolotherapy adalah suatu terapi non-bedah dengan menginjeksikan dosis kecil larutan iritan pada insersi tendon yang telah mengalami degenerasi, sendi, ligamen, dan area sekitar sendi yang berdekatan dalam beberapa sesi pengobatan. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah prolotherapy efektif pada pasien dengan degenerasi lutut, untuk menjelaskan efektifitas prolotherapy pada pasien dengan degenerasi lutut, dan untuk mempertimbangkan apakah prolotherapy dapat dijadikan terapi utama pada pasien dengan degenerasi lutut. penelitian ini adalah penelitian analitik dengan rancangan penelitian berupa studi cross sectional. teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan teknik non probability sampling dengan metode total sampling. populasi sampel tersebut, sebanyak 10 pasien menjadi sampel pada penelitian ini sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi yang telah ditetapkan. rata-rata skor womac sebelum diberikan injeksi prolotherapy adalah 69,60 sedangkan sesudah diberikan injeksi prolotherapy adalah 40,80. terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara skor womac sebelum dan sesudah diberikan injeksi prolotherapy. kata kunci: prolotherapy, degenerasi lutut, medial collateral ligament injury

Degeneration is the change of tissue from a higher to a lower form, especially in its functional state which becomes less active. Prolotherapy is a non-surgical therapy by injecting small doses of irritant solution into the degenerated tendon insertions, joints, ligaments, and adjacent joint surroundings over several treatment sessions. This study aims to determine whether prolotherapy is effective in patients with knee degeneration, to explain the effectiveness of prolotherapy in patients with knee degeneration, and to consider whether prolotherapy can be used as the main therapy in patients with knee degeneration. This research is an analytic study with a research design in the form of a cross sectional study. The sampling technique used in this study was to use non probability sampling technique with total sampling method. the sample population, as many as 10 patients were sampled in this study according to the predetermined inclusion criteria. The average WOMAC score before being given a prolotherapy injection is 69.60 while after being given a prolotherapy injection is 40.80. There is a significant difference between WOMAC scores before and after prolotherapy injection. Keywords: Prolotherapy, Knee Degeneration, Medial Collateral Ligament Injury
