A good knowledge of esrd patients on the disease condition will help the patients obey the rules of hemodialysis therapy properly including to consume medicines according to the prescription. this case had been demonstrated by several previous studies. other researches said that a good knowledge does not guarantee patients obey the rules of taking medications. this study is aimed to determine correlation of knowledge and adherence consuming the medicines in patients on hemodialysis at rsudza. cross sectional study is conducted on 52 samples. variables are measured by rkk-q and morisky scale questionnaire. data analysis use the spearman’s rank correlation test and cross tabulation. the result shows that a long time undergoing hemodialysis is a criteria for knowledge and adherence consuming the medicines. data analysis shows a negative association between the variables. patient whome greater knowledge have less adherence to consume the medicines. key words: knowledge, adherence consuming medicines, hemodialysis, relationship.
