Wabah coronavirus disease 2019 (covid-19) pertama kali muncul pada akhir desember 2019 di wuhan, china. wabah ini disebabkan oleh infeksi severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (sars-cov-2) yang menyerang sistem pernapasan manusia. dengan munculnya varian baru sars-cov-2 menyebabkan perlindungan setelah pemberian vaksin dosis kedua berkurang maka pemberian dosis ketiga (booster) diperlukan. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan titer neutralizing antibody yang terbentuk sebelum dan sesudah vaksinasi dosis booster berbasis mrna dan untuk menilai faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi titer neutralizing antibody sesudah menerima dosis booster vaksin covid-19. metode penelitian ini adalah analitik observasional dengan desain cross sectional. melalui teknik purposive sampling, penelitian ini merekrut 158 responden yang telah menerima vaksinasi mrna dosis ketiga dalam jangka waktu 112 bulan sebelum penelitian. pemeriksaan titer neutralizing antibody menggunakan elisa dan informasi lain dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner. uji wilcoxon digunakan untuk melihat perbandingan antara titer sebelum dan setelah dosis booster sedangkan uji kruskal wallis dan mann whitney digunakan untuk melihat faktor yang mempengaruhi titer neutralizing antibody. hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan signifikan titer neutralizing antibody sebelum dan sesudah menerima vaksin dosis booster berbasis mrna (coronavac vs mrna, dengan nilai p



Abstract

The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak first appeared at the end of December 2019 in Wuhan, China. This outbreak is caused by infection with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) which attacks the human respiratory system. With the emergence of a new variant of SARS-CoV-2 causing reduced protection after administration of the second dose of vaccine, a third dose (booster) is needed. The aim of this study was to compare the neutralizing antibody titers before and after mRNA-based booster dose of COVID-19 vaccine and to assess factors assocaited with neutralizing antibody titers after receiving booster dose. This research method was analytic observational with cross sectional design. Using a purposive sampling technique, this study recruited 158 respondents who had received the third dose of mRNA vaccination within 1-12 months prior to the study. The titers of neutralizing antibody were measured using ELISA and other information was collected using a validated questionnaire. The Wilcoxon test was used to compare the titers before and after the booster dose, while the Kruskal Wallis and Mann Whitney tests were used to assess the factors associated with the neutralizing antibody titers.
