Indekos atau rumah sewa merupakan kebutuhan primer bagi mahasiswa/i luar daerah. namun, biaya sewa indekos atau rumah ini menjadi beban kala mahasiswa/i sedang dalam periode libur kuliah, ataupun dalam masa pandemi lalu mahasiswa/i tetap menyewa indekos atau rumah sebagai tempat menyimpan barang-barang mereka. salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan untuk menekan biaya sewa ialah memindahkan barang di indekos atau rumah sewa ke ruang penyimpanan sementara atau sering disebut dengan gudang. konsep seperti ini juga kerap dikenal dengan self storage. oleh karena itu terdapat suatu aplikasi penyewaan ruangan kosong yang bernama ruang yang dapat bermanfaat untuk mengurangi biaya sewa indekos atau rumah. penelitian ini akan dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode analisis perancangan sistem human centered design (tahap inspiration dan ideation) dan pengembangan perangkat lunak scrum (tahap implementation). proses pengembangan aplikasi website menggunakan framework flask. pengujian fungsionalitas aplikasi menggunakan black box testing dengan metode equivalence partitions menghasilkan semua test case mendapatkan hasil yang sesuai (valid) yang berarti sistem telah sesuai dengan rancangan dan berhasil dijalankan. pengujian usability aplikasi dilakukan menggunakan use questionnaire dengan skala likert 7 poin terhadap 15 orang responden yang terdiri dari pemilik indekos, pemilik rumah dan mahasiswa. hasil kuesioner mendapati nilai persentase kelayakan aplikasi pada semua aspek usability adalah sangat setuju yang menandakan aplikasi dapat diterima dengan sangat baik oleh pengguna. kata kunci: flask, python, human centered design, scrum, properti, sharing economy, e-commerce, self-storage

Share house is primary needs for students outside the region. However, the cost of renting a share house becomes a burden when the student is on a vacation period, or during the past pandemic, the student still rents a share house as a place to store their belongings. One way that can be done to reduce rental costs is to move goods in a boarding house or rental house to a temporary storage room or often called a warehouse. This concept is also known as self storage. Therefore, an empty room rental application called Ruang which can be useful to reduce the cost of renting a share house. This research will be carried out using the analysis method of Human Centered Design ( Inspiration and Ideation stage) software development Scrum stage Implementation). Application development process website uses framework Flask. Testing the application functionality using Black Box testing with the Equivalence Partitions resulted in all test cases getting the appropriate (valid) results, which means the system has been in accordance with the design and has been successfully executed.testing usability of the application was carried out using the USE Questionnaire with a Likert scale of 7 points to 15 respondents consisting of boarding house owners, home owners and students. The results of the questionnaire found that the percentage value of the feasibility of the application on all aspects of usability was strongly agree which indicated the application was very well received by the user.
