Pseudomonas aeruginosa adalah salah satu bakteri patogen oportunistik yang menyebabkan hais (healthcare associated infections). penelitian deskriptif retrospektif ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui distribusi pseudomonas aeruginosa berdasarkan umur, jenis kelamin dan ruang rawat serta untuk mengetahui keberadaan pseudomonas aeruginosa penghasil extended spectrum β-lactamase (esbl) dari spesimen pus di rsud dr. zainoel abidin. data diambil dari hasil identifikasi bakteri dan uji resistensi antibiotik dari spesimen pus pasien di rsud dr. zainoel abidin selama periode juni 2019-juni 2022 menggunakan alat otomatis vitek ® 2 compact. hasil penelitian ini diperoleh bahwa infeksi oleh pseudomonas aeruginosa penghasil extended spectrum β-lactamase (esbl) dari spesimen pus periode juni 2019 sampai juni 2022 adalah sebanyak 129 isolat dan telah resisten terhadap sefotaksim (100%) dan seftazidim (91,8%) yang terdeteksi termasuk jenis extended spectrum β-lactamase (esbl). distribusi pseudomonas aeruginosa berdasarkan usia paling banyak ditemukan pada pasien usia 56-65 tahun sebanyak 42 isolat (32,5%), sedangkan berdasarkan jenis kelamin paling banyak ditemukan pada pria sebanyak 85 isolat (65,8%) dan distribusi pseudomonas aeruginosa berdasarkan jenis ruang rawat paling banyak ditemukan pada ruang rawat bedah sebanyak 53 isolat (41,1%). kata kunci: antibiotik, extended spectrum β-lactamase (esbl), pseudomonas aeruginosa, resistensi



Abstract

Pseudomonas aeruginosa is one of the opportunistic pathogenic bacteria that causes HAIs (Healthcare Associated Infections). This retrospective descriptive study aims to determine the distribution of Pseudomonas aeruginosa based on age, gender and ward and to determine the presence of Pseudomonas aeruginosa producing extended spectrum β-lactamase (ESBL) from pus specimens at RSUD dr. Zainoel Abidin. Data were taken from the results of bacterial identification and antibiotic resistance tests from pus specimens from patients in RSUD dr. Zainoel Abidin during the period June 2019-June 2022 using the VITEK ® 2 Compact automatic tool. The results of this study showed that infection by Pseudomonas aeruginosa producing extended spectrum βlactamase (ESBL) from pus specimens for the period June 2019 to June 2022 was 129 isolates and had resistance to cefotaxime (100%) and ceftazidime (91.8%) were detected. including the type of extended spectrum β- lactamase (ESBL). The distribution of Pseudomonas aeruginosa based on age was mostly found in patients aged 56-65 years as many as 42 isolates (32.5%), while based on gender it was most commonly found in men as many as 85 isolates (65,8%). The distribution of Pseudomonas aeruginosa based on the type of ward was mostly found in the surgical room as many as 53 isolates (41.1%).
