Aceh merupakan daerah yang memiliki sejarah tragedi kemanusiaan seperti konflik, tsunami, dan pelecehan seksual. permasalahan tersebut menyebabkan berbagai respon yang berbeda karena adanya perbedaan kepribadian. oleh karena itu, masyarakat aceh membutuhkan pemaafan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan ini. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pemaafan dengan personality trait. sampel yang terlibat berjumlah 406 orang yang terdiri dari 270 laki-laki dan 136 perempuan masyarakat aceh. penelitian ini menggunakan skala yaitu transgression-related interpersonal motivations scale (trim-18) untuk mengukur pemaafan dan big five inventory-2-short (bfi-2-s) untuk mengukur personality trait. hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa pemaafan berkorelasi secara positif dengan beberapa dimensi personality trait conscientiousness (r=0.134), agreeableness (r=0.183) dan extraversion (r=0.164), sedangkan pada dimensi negative emotionality berkorelasi secara negatif dengan pemaafan (r= -0.206). sementara pada open mindedness tidak berkorelasi dengan pemaafan. dengan demikian, semakin tinggi conscientiousness, agreeableness dan extraversion maka semakin tinggi pemaaafan dan sebaliknya. sedangkan, semakin tinggi negative emotionality, maka semakin rendah pemaafan dan sebaliknya. kata kunci: masyarakat aceh, pemaafan, personality trait

Aceh is an area that has a history of human tragedies such as conflict, tsunamis and sexual harassment. This problem causes a variety of different responses because of differences in personality. Therefore, the people of Aceh need forgiveness to solve this problem. This study aims to determine the relationship between forgiveness and personality traits. The sample involved was 406 people consisting of 270 men and 136 women from the people of Aceh. This study uses a scale, namely the Transgression-Related Interpersonal Motivations Scale (TRIM-18) to measure forgiveness and the Big Five Inventory-2-Short (BFI-2-S) to measure personality traits. The results of the study found that forgiveness was positively correlated with several personality trait dimensions Conscientiousness (r=0.134), Agreeableness (r=0.183) and Extraversion (r=0.164), whereas in the negative emotionality dimension it was negatively correlated with forgiveness (r= -0.206). . Meanwhile, Open Mindedness does not correlate with forgiveness. Thus, the higher the Conscientiousness, Agreeableness and Extraversion, the higher the forgiveness and vice versa.
