Abstrak penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh sosial-budaya terhadap produktivitas industri arang meurandeh, kecamatan manyak payed kabupaten aceh tamiang. dalam menganalisis fenomena tersebut, maka penelitian ini menggunakan teori hubungan manusiawi (human ralations) elton mayo dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif. adapun hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh sosial-budaya terhadap produktivitas industri arang meurandeh, kecamatan manyak payed kabupaten aceh tamiang berdasarkan nilai adjusted r square sebesar 0,680 memiliki arti bahwa sosial, budaya serta variabel kontrol yaitu pembagian kerja mampu menjelaskan produktivitas industri arang sebesar 68%. sedangkan sisanya 32% dijelaskan oleh variabel lain di luar penelitian ini. namun variabel yang paling dominan yang mempengaruhi produktivitas industri arang di desa meurandeh adalah budaya (x2) yaitu sebesar 0,754 (75,4%). variabel kontrol berupa pembagian kerja dan variabel independent lainnya berupa kondisi sosial (x1) dalam hasil penelitian ini tidak memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap produktifitas industri arang di desa meurandeh. kondisi sosial lingkungan kerja industri arang di desa meurandeh menunjukkan komunikasi yang terjalin antara pelaku usaha industri arang tidak sepenuhnya berjalan dengan efektif. dari hasil penelitian ini faktor budaya sangat berperan penting dalam mempengaruhi produkvifitas industri arang. pelaku industri arang di desa meurandeh merasa bertanggungjawab terhadap kualitas kerja dan produk yang dihasilkan, meskipun pada hakikatnya mereka tidak memiliki kesiapan apabila terdapat suatu permasalahan di dalam pekerjaannya. namun tindakan yang dilakukan baik itu kejujuran, pengambilan keputusan, dan tanggung jawab yang dilakukan bukan lagi sebuah tuntutan atau keterpaksaan, melainkan menjadi sebuah kesadaran bersama sehingga terciptalah sebuah budaya organisasi. produktivitas industri arang di desa meurandeh menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pada produksi arang. meskipun terjadinya peningkatan hasil produksi, namun tetap ada ketentuan mengenai jadwal kapan arang tersebut harus diproduksi. hal ini disebabkan waktu yang dihabiskan untuk pembuatan arang bekisar 17-22 hari. dari hasil produksi yang terus meningkat, namun sangat disayangkan arang yang dihasilkan tidak melewati uji sni. kata kunci: industri arang, produktivitas, sosial, budaya

ABSTRACT This study aims to examine the socio-cultural influence on the development of the Meurandeh Charcoal Industry, Manyak Payed District, Aceh Tamiang Regency. In analyzing this phenomenon, this study uses Elton Mayo's Human Relations Theory using a descriptive approach. The results of this study indicate that the sociocultural influence on the development of the Meurandeh Charcoal Industry, Manyak Payed District, Aceh Tamiang Regency based on the Adjusted R Square value of 0.680 means that social, cultural and control variables, namely the division of labor, are able to explain industrial productivity of 68%. While the remaining 32% is explained by other variables outside of this study. However, the most dominant variable affecting the productivity of the charcoal industry in Meurandeh Village is culture (X2), which is 0.754 (75,4%). The control variable in the form of division of labor and other independent variables in the form of social conditions (X1) in the results of this study did not have a significant effect on the productivity of the charcoal industry in Meurandeh Village. The results of the calculation of the Partial Test (t test) then obtained the p-value of the variable t test of 0.283 > 0.05, which means that social has no significant effect on productivity. The social condition of the charcoal industry working environment in Meurandeh Village shows that the communication that exists between the charcoal industry business actors is not fully effective. From the results of this study, cultural factors play an important role in influencing the productivity of the charcoal industry. Charcoal industry players in Meurandeh Village feel responsible for the quality of work and products produced, although in essence they do not have the readiness if there is a problem at work. However, the actions taken whether honesty, decision-making, and responsibility are no longer a responsibility or compulsion, but become a shared awareness so that an organizational culture is created. The productivity of the charcoal industry in Meurandeh Village shows an increase in charcoal production, so that it can increase the income of the charcoal industry players. Although there is an increase in production output, there are still provisions regarding the schedule for when the product must be produced. This is due to the time spent on charcoal making around 17-22 days. From the production results that continue to increase, but greatly increase the amount produced does not pass the SNI.
