Mengajar telah lama menjadi komponen fundamental dari peran seorang dokter. aspek identitas seorang dokter ini sesuai karena "dokter" berasal dari "docere", kata latin untuk "guru." program dimana residen berperan sebagai guru bagi mahasiswa di level di bawahnya dikenal dengan nama ‘resident as teacher’ atau di indonesia lebih dikenal sebagai bimbingan dokter muda (bdm). tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana persepsi dokter muda, residen, dan konsulen tentang program bdm di bagian neurologi fk usk. jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan desain cross sectional. hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: mayoritas dokter muda, residen, dan konsulen memiliki persepsi yang baik tentang program bdm yaitu masing-masing 77,1%, 88,5%, dan 53,8%. kesimpulan pada penelitian ini adalah persepsi dokter muda, residen, dan konsulen tentang program bdm pada pendidikan neurologi di fk usk adalah baik. program bdm sebaiknya tetap dikembangkan lebih lanjut untuk menciptakan dokter-dokter yang berkualitas dan professional. kata kunci: ‘resident as teacher’, bimbingan dokter muda, persepsi, pendidikan neurologi

Teaching has long been a fundamental component of the physician's role. This aspect of a doctor's identity is appropriate because "doctor" comes from "docere," the Latin word for "teacher." The program where the resident acts as a teacher for students at lower levels is known as 'resident as teacher' or in Indonesia it is better known as the guidance of young doctors (BDM). The purpose of this study was to find out how young doctors, residents and consultants perceive the BDM program in the Neurology Department of the USK Fact of Medicine. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive study with a cross sectional design. The results of this study indicate that: the majority of young doctors, residents and consultants have a good perception of the BDM program, namely 77.1%, 88.5% and 53.8%, respectively. The conclusion of this study is that the perceptions of young doctors, residents and consultants about the BDM program in Neurology Education at USK Medical Faculty are good. The BDM program should be further developed to create qualified and professional doctors. Keywords: 'resident as teacher', Guidance of young doctors, perception, neurology education
