Dalam pembelajaran di sekolah banyak keluhan dari guru karena kurangnya kepercayaan diri peserta didik sehingga banyak peserta didik yang tidak aktif ketika pembelajaran berlangsung. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui terdapat atau tidaknya hubungan rasa percaya diri dengan prestasi belajar di smp kecamatan kuta baro kabupaten aceh besar. penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasional. populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik di smp kecamatan kuta baro yang berjumlah 1025 peserta didik. sampel penelitian menggunakan rumus yamane dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95% sehingga diperoleh jumlah sampel sebanyak 288 peserta didik. pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik random sampling dari enam smp yang ada di kecamatan kuta baro kabupaten aceh besar. pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrument angket kepercayaan diri dan dokumentasi nilai rapor. untuk melihat ada atau tidaknya hubungan yang signifikan antara rasa percaya diri dengan prestasi belajar di smp kecamatan kuta baro kabupaten aceh besar digunakan uji korelasi product moment pearson pada taraf signifikansi 0,05 setelah prasyarat pengujian terpenuhi. berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh hasil uji korelasi product moment pearson sebesar 0,818 yang berarti bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara rasa percaya diri dengan prestasi belajar peserta didik di smp kecamatan kuta baro kabupaten aceh besar. tingkat kepercayaan diri peserta didik dalam pembelajaran terbukti berpengaruh dan memiliki hubungan yang signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar peserta didik.

There are many complaints from teachers about the lack of confidence of students during the learning process so that many students are less enthusiastic when learning takes place. This research was conducted to determine whether or not there is a significant correlation between selfconfidence and learning achievement of students in junior high school Kuta Baro district, Aceh Besar. This research uses a quantitative approach to the type of correlational research. The population of this study were all students in the Kuta Baro district junior high school, which amounted to 1025 students. The research sample used the Yamane formula with 95% confidence level so that total sample of 288 students was obtained. This research used a random sampling technique from six junior high schools in Kuta Baro district, Aceh Besar. Data collection was carried out using a self-confidence questionnaire and documentation of report cards. To find out whether or not there is a significant correlation between self-confidence and learning achievement, the Pearson’s product moment correlation test is used at a significance level of 0,05 after the prerequisite tests are carried out. Based on the results of the research, the results of the Pearson’s product moment correlation test were 0,818, which means there is a significant correlation between self-confidence and student learning achievement of junior high school in Kuta Baro district, Aceh Besar regency. The level of self-confidence of students in learning is proven to be influential and it has a significant correlation to student’s learning achievement.
