Media tanam pada pembibitan kelapa sawit pada umumnya terdiri atas tanah yang dicampur dengan pasir serta pupuk anorganik seperti pupuk fosfat. bahan organik sering dimanfaatkan untuk lebih meningkatkan produktifitas media tanam. tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh biochar pelepah kelapa sawit dan pemberian dosis pupuk fosfat terhadap pertumbuhan pre nursery kelapa sawit. penelitian dilaksanakan di biochar research station dan laboratorium ilmu dan teknologi benih, fakultas pertanian, universitas syiah kuala, darussalam, banda aceh. penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok pola faktorial 3 x 4 dengan 3 ulangan, sehingga terdapat 12 kombinasi perlakuan dan 36 satuan percobaan. setiap satuan percobaan terdiri dari 3 tanaman sampel, sehingga keseluruhan terdapat 108 tanaman. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan biochar sangat nyata terhadap ph tanah serta berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman 60 hst, dosis biochar pelepah kelapa sawit terbaik terdapat pada 14 g polibag-1. perlakuan dosis pupuk fosfat sangat nyata terhadap bobot basah tanaman, serta nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman 75 hst dan 90 hst, diameter batang 15 hst dan 90 hst, ph tanah, bobot kering tanaman, berat basah akar dan berat kering akar tanaman kelapa sawit, dosis pupuk fosfat terbaik terdapat pada 0,3 g polibag-1. interaksi antara dosis biochar pelepah kelapa sawit dan dosis pupuk fosfat berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman 75 hst dan suhu tanah 45 hst kedalaman tanah 5 cm serta berpengaruh nyata terhadap diameter batang 15 hst dan 30 hst dan suhu tanah 60 hst kedalaman tanah 10 cm, kombinasi terbaik terdapat pada dosis biochar 14 g polibag -1 dan dosis pupuk fosfat 0,3 g polibag-1.

Abstract
Planting media in oil palm nurseries generally consists of soil mixed with sand and inorganic fertilizers such as phosphate fertilizers. Organic matter is often used to further increase the productivity of the growing media. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of oil palm midrib biochar and the administration of phosphate fertilizer doses on the growth of pre-nursery oil palm. The research was carried out at the Biochar Research Station and Laboratory of Seed Science and Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Syiah Kuala, Darussalam, Banda Aceh. This study used a 3 x 4 factorial randomized block design with 3 replications, so there were 12 treatment combinations and 36 experimental units. Each experimental unit consisted of 3 sample plants, so there were 108 plants in total. The results showed that the biochar treatment had a very significant effect on soil pH and significantly affected plant height at 60 DAP, the best dose of biochar in oil palm fronds was found at 14 g polibag -1. The dose treatment of phosphate fertilizer had a very significant effect on plant wet weight, and significantly affected plant height 75 DAP and 90 DAP, stem diameter 15 DAP and 90 DAP, soil pH, plant dry weight, root wet weight and root dry weight of oil palm plants, The best dose of phosphate fertilizer was found at 0,3 g polibag -1. The interaction between the dose of biochar oil palm midrib and the dose of phosphate fertilizer had a very significant effect on plant height 75 DAP and soil temperature 45 DAP, soil depth of 5 cm and significantly affected stem diameter 15 DAP and 30 DAP and soil temperature 60 DAP, soil depth of 10 cm, the combination The best was found at a dose of 14 g polibag -1 dan dosis pupuk fosfat 0,3 g polibag-1.
