SHARA FHONNA, PEMANFAATAN EKSTRAK ETANOL DAUN BIDARA (ZIZIPHUS MAURITIANA) SEBAGAI INHIBITOR KOROSI PADA PELAT BESI DALAM LARUTAN ASAM, BASA, DAN GARAM. Banda Aceh MIPA-KIMIA,2022

Pemanfaatan ekstrak etanol daun bidara (ziziphus mauritiana) sebagai inhibitor korosi pada plat besi dalam larutan asam, basa, dan garam telah dilakukan. pengujian laju korosi pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode kehilangan massa. ekstrak daun bidara dengan pelarut etanol dikarakterisasi menggunakan infrared spectroscopy (ir) didapat gugus fungsi o-h, c-h alifatik dan aromatik, c=o ester, c=n aromatik, c=c aromatik, dan c-o eter. hasil penelitian menunjukkan konsentrasi maksimum ekstrak daun bidara pada larutan asam yaitu 1200 ppm dengan nilai rata-rata laju korosi 2,8680 mmpy dengan efisiensi inhibisi sebesar 49,35%, pada larutan basa yaitu 1200 ppm dengan nilai rata-rata laju korosi 0,0177 mmpy dengan efisiensi inhibisi sebesar 89,25%, dan pada larutan garam yaitu 1200 ppm dengan nilai rata-rata laju korosi 0,1381 mmpy dengan efisiensi inhibisi sebesar 43,78%. morfologi permukaan plat besi terkorosi diamati menggunakan usb digital microscope pada perbesaran 1600x.



Abstract

Utilization Ziziphus mauritiana leaves of the ethanol extract as a corrosion inhibitor on iron plates in acid, base, and salt solutions has been carried out. The corrosion rate test in this study used the mass loss method. Ziziphus mauritiana leaf extract with ethanol solvent was characterized using Infrared Spectroscopy (IR) obtained functional groups, namely O-H, C-H aliphatic and aromatic, C=O ester, C=N aromatic, C=C aromatic, dan C-O ether, proved that the bidara leaf extract contains O and N atoms which have lone pairs of electrons. The results showed that the maximum concentration of Ziziphus mauritiana leaf extract in an acidic solution was 1200 ppm with an average corrosion rate of 2.8680 mmpy with an inhibition efficiency of 49.35%, in an alkaline solution of 1200 ppm with an average corrosion rate of 0.0177. mmpy with inhibition efficiency of 89.25% and the salt solution is 1200 ppm with an average corrosion rate of 0.1381 mmpy with an inhibition efficiency of 43.78%. The surface morphology of corroded iron plate was observed using a USB digital microscope at 1600X magnification.
