Rayap dan semut adalah serangga sosial yang berperan penting dalam di perkebunan kopi. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui berbagi jenis rayap dan semut yang terdapat di pekebunan kopi di dataran tinggi gayo. pengoleksian rayap dan semut dilakukan dengan metode survey eksploratif di area perkebaunan kopi seluas 0,5 hektar dari desember 2001- maret 2022. ditemukan emapt genera dan delapan spesies rayap di empat lokasi titik pengoleksian sampel. jenis rayap yang ditemukan yaitu schedorhinotermes javanicus, schedorhinotermes medioobscurus, macrotermes malaccensis, nasutitermes matangensis, nasutitermes havilandi, odontotermes grandiceps, odontotermes oblongatus, dan odontotermes sp. 1. penelitian ini juga mengkoleksi 19 spesies dan 16 genus semut. yaitu anoplolepis gracilipes, carebara diversa, dolichoderus sp., leptogenys diminuta, odontomachus simillimus, odontomachus rixostus, pheidole tanjogensis, odontoponera transversa, sonenopsis geminata, tapinoma melanocephalum. acropyga buttli, crematogaster sp., leptogenys sp., myrmicaria sp., nylanderia sp., pheidole sp., plagiolepis sp., polyrhacis sp., dan techomyrmex sp. macrotermes malaccensis merupakan jenis rayap yang menyerang tanaman kopi di daratan tinggi gayo. kata kunci: serangga sosial, dekomposer, keragaman jenis, perkebunan

Termites and ants are social insects that play an important role in coffee plantations. This research aims to investigate species richness of both termites and ants in the Coffee Plantation in the Gayo Highlands. Both insect groups were collected by adopting the Exploratory Survey Method in a 0.5 hectare coffee plantation area from December 2001 to March 2022. As many as four genera and eight species of termites were found in four selected habitats: Schedorhinotermes javanicus, S. medioobscurus, Macrotermes malaccensis, Nasutitermes matangensis, N. havilandi, Odontotermes grandiceps, O. oblongatus, and Odontotermes sp. 1. I also found as many as 19 species and 16 genera of ants: Anoplolepis gracilipes, Carebara diversa, Dolichoderus sp., Leptogenys diminuta, Odontomachus simillimus, O. rixostus, Pheidole tanjogensis, O. transversa, Solenopsis geminata, Tapinoma melanocephalum. Acropyga buttli, Crematogaster sp., Leptogenys sp., Myrmicaria sp., Nylanderia sp., Pheidole sp., Plagiolepis sp., Polyrhacis sp., and Techomyrmex sp. Only a single species of termite, Macrotermes malaccensis. that attacks coffee plants in the plantations. Keywords: Social insects, decomposers, species diversity, agriculture
