Pelaksanaan pembelajaran di masa pandemi covid-19 memiliki banyak keterbatasan, kegiatan proses pembelajaran tidak bisa dilaksanakan secara tatap muka, sehingga proses pembelajaran berubah menjadi dalam jaringan (daring). penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan lab virtual phet terhadap pemahaman konsep asam basa mahasiswa pendidikan kimia. penelitian ini merupakan suatu studi kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian one-shot case study. populasi penelitian adalah seluruh mahasiswa pendidikan kimia angkatan 2021 dengan mengambil sampel dua kelas (kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol) melalui teknik purposive sampling. pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan dua macam instrumen yaitu tes dan non-tes. adapun tes yang digunakan adalah tes bentuk pilihan ganda dan non-tes meliputi angket. berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diketahui bahwa 1) thitung > ttabel atau 14.905 > 2.262 pada taraf signifikansi α = 5% (0,05), maka ho ditolak dan ha diterima. kriteria ini menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh yang nyata (signifikan) pada penggunaan lab virtual phet terhadap pemahaman konsep asam basa mahasiswa pendidikan kimia. 2) respon mahasiswa terhadap penggunaan lab virtual phet memberikan respon positif dengan persentase 41% baik dan persentase 40% sangat baik. kata kunci: laboratorium virtual, phet simulation, pemahaman konsep, asam basa.

The implementation of learning during the Covid-19 pandemic has many limitations, the learning process activities cannot be done face-to-face, so the learning process turns into a network (online). This study aims to analyze the effect of using a PhET virtual lab on the understanding of the acid-base concept of chemistry education students. This research is a quasi-experimental research with a one-shot case study design. The population of this research is all students of chemistry education class 2021 by taking samples of two classes (experimental class and control class) through purposive sampling technique. Data collection uses two kinds of instruments, namely tests and non-tests. The test used is a multiple choice test and non-test includes a questionnaire. Results Based on the research, it is known that 1) tcount > ttable or 14.905 > 2.262 at the significance level = 5% (0.05), then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This criterion indicates that there is a significant (significant) effect using the virtual lab of PhET on the understanding of the acid-base concept of chemistry education students. 2) Student responses to the use of the PhET virtual lab gave a positive response with a percentage of 41% good and a percentage of 40% very good.
