Abstrak penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian probiotik em4 terhadap pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup ikan gabus. penelitian ini di laksanakan di laboratorium pembenihan ikan, fakultas kelautan dan perikanan universitas syiah kuala. penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode rancangan acak lengkap (ral) dengan 4 perlakuan yang digunakan yaitu a (kontrol), b (em4 6 ml/kg pakan), c (em4 8 ml/kg pakan), dan d (em4 10 ml/kg pakan). pemeliharaan ikan dilakukan selama 40 hari dengan frekuensi pemberian pakan dua kali sehari. parameter yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah pertambahan panjang mutlak, pertumbuhan bobot mutlak, laju pertumbuhan spesifik, rasio konversi pakan, efisiensi pakan dan kelangsungan hidup. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian probiotik em4 10 ml/kg pakan menghasilkan pertambahan panjang mutlak 1,60 cm, pertumbuhan bobot mutlak 1,85 gram, laju pertumbuhan spesifik 1,97% per hari, rasio konversi pakan 1,56, efisiensi pakan 64,19% dan kelangsungan hidup 97,78%. hasil penelitian ini dapat simpulkan bahwa pemberian probiotik em4 10 ml/kg pakan mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup ikan gabus (channa striata). kata kunci: ikan gabus, em4, pakan komersial, pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup



Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of giving EM4 probiotics on the growth and survival rate of snakehead fish. This research was carried out at the Fish Hatchery Laboratory, Faculty of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, Syiah Kuala University. This research was conducted using a completely randomized design (CRD) method with 4 treatments used, namely A (control), B (EM4 6 ml/kg feed), C (EM4 8 ml/kg feed), and D (EM4 10 ml/kg feed). Fish maintenance was carried out for 40 days with the frequency of feeding twice a day. Parameters observed in this study were absolute length gain, absolute weight growth, specific growth rate, feed conversion ratio, feed efficiency and survival rate. The results showed that the administration of probiotic EM4 10 ml/kg of feed resulted in an absolute length increase of 1.60 cm, an absolute weight growth of 1.85 grams, a specific growth rate of 1.97% per day, a feed conversion ratio of 1.56, feed efficiency 64, 19% and survival rate 97.78%. The results of this study can be concluded that the administration of probiotic Em4 10 ml/kg of feed can increase the growth and survival rate of snakehead fish (Channa striata).
