Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ekstrak daun sirih (piper betle) terhadap anestesi ikan cupang (betta splendens) serta konsentrasi optimal ekstrak. penelitian dilakukan di laboratorium pembenihan fakultas kelautan dan perikanan, kecamatan darusalam, pada bulan maret 2021. data dianalisis menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (ral) dengan 5 taraf perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan dengan kosentrasi ekstrak yaitu : 0 ml/l, 6 ml/l, 7 ml/l, 9 ml/l, 11 ml/l. sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah ikan cupang (betta splendens) dengan pemberian ekstrak daun sirih (piper betle). hasil uji pada penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa penambahan ekstrak daun sirih berpengaruh nyata terhadap waktu ikan mengalami pingsan dengan taraf waktu 64 menit (11ml/l) dan waktu ikan pada saat proses penyadaran dengan waktu tercepat 10 menit (6ml/l). perlakuan terbaik ekstrak daun sirih (piple betle) pada penelitian ini adalah 11 ml/l. kata kunci : daun sirih, ikan cupang, waktu pingsan, waktu sadar

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of betel leave extract (Piper betle) on the anesthesia of fighting fish (Betta splendens) and the optimal concentration of the extract. The research was conducted at the hatchery laboratory of the marine and fisheries faculty, District, in Maret 2021. The data were analyzed using a Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with 5 levels of treatment and 3 replications wite extract concentrations, namely: 0 ml/L, 6 ml/L, 7 ml/L, 9 ml/L, 11 ml/L. The sample used in this study fighting fish (Betta splendens) with betel leave extract (Piper betle). The test results in this study showed that the addition of betel leave extract had a significant effect on the time the fish fainted with a time level of 64 minutes (11 ml/L) and the fish time during the awakening process with the fastest time 10 minutes (6ml/L). The best treatment of betel leaf extract (Piple betle) in this study was 11 ml/L. Keyword : betel leave, fighting fish, time of fainting, ime of consciousness
