Salah satu sampah yang banyak ditemukan di laut yaitu sampah plastik. beberapa tahun belakangan ini, plastik yang ditemukan di lautan bukan hanya plastik berukuran besar saja, tetapi yang berukuran mikro atau biasa disebut mikroplastik. mikroplastik berasal dari limbah plastik yang terdegradasi dan memiliki ukuran kurang dari 5 mm yang dapat dijumpai di sedimen dasar perairan. tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui jenis, kelimpahan dan konsentrasi mikroplastik yang berada di sedimen perairan alue naga dan mengetahui karakteristik sedimen di perairan alue naga. penelitian ini dilakukan selama bulan januari hingga bulan mei 2022. metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode coring dimana sampel sedimen diambil di daerah intertidal. titik pengambilan sampel sedimen menggunakan metode purposive sampling. sampel dikeringkan kemudian dipisahkan berdasarkan ukuran butir menggunakan sieve analisis. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mikroplastik di sedimen perairan alue naga ditemukan adanya 6 jenis mikroplastik yaitu fiber, fragment, film, foam, monofilament dan pellet. kelimpahan rata-rata mikroplastik di sedimen perairan alue naga sebesar 0,8344 gram/kg dengan jenis mikroplastik tertinggi di sedimen berasal dari jenis fiber dengan konsentrasi sebesar 8,30 item/kg. kategori fraksi pasir pada sedimen perairan alue naga yang dilihat dari hasil saringan sedimen berdasarkan skala wentworth (1922) dikategorikan sedimen pasir berkerikil dengan ukuran 0,25 mm yang rata-rata berat sedimen sebanyak 48,639 gram dan nilai rata-rata ukuran butir sedimen sebesar 0,392 yang termasuk kategori pasir kasar. kata kunci : intertidal, sedimen, mikroplastik, coring analisis dan sieve analisis.



Abstract

One of the wastes that are found in the ocean is plastic. In recent years, plastic that has been discovered not only in large size, but also micro-sized plastics or commonly called microplastics. Microplastics are derived from degraded plastic waste and have a size of less than 5 mm that can be found in waterbed sediments. The purpose of this study is to determine the type, abundance and concentration of microplastics in the sediments of Alue Naga waters and find out the characteristics of sediments in Alue Naga waters. This research was conducted during the months of January to May 2022. The method used in this study is the coring method where sediment samples are taken in the Intertidal area. Sediment sampling points use purposive sampling method. The sample is dried and then separated based on grain size using sieve analysis. The results showed that microplastics in the sediments of Alue Naga waters found 6 types of microplastics, namely fiber, fragments, films, foam, monofilaments and pellets. The average abundance of microplastics in Alue Naga water sediments was 0,8344 grams/Kg with the highest microplastic type in the sediment coming from the fiber type with a concentration of 8,30 items/Kg. The category of sand fractions in Alue Naga water sediments, which is seen from the results of sediment filters based on the Wentworth Scale (1922), is categorized as gravel sand sediments with a size of 0.25 mm, which has an average sediment weight of 48.639 grams and an average sediment grain size value of 0.392 which belongs to the coarse sand category.
