Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui berbagai jenis rayap yang menyerang kayu di panglong dalam wilayah kota banda aceh dan aceh besar. pengoleksian data dilakukan dengan metode koleksi koloni di 16 panglong di aceh besar (11 panglong) dan di banda aceh (5 panglong) sejak desember 2021 hingga juni 2022. hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat empat jenis rayap dari tiga genera yang menyerang berbagai jenis kayu di kedua lokasi tersebut, yaitu microtermes pakistanicus, nasutitermes matangensis, nasutitermes roboratus, dan coptotermes gestroi. microtermes pakistanicus merupakan jenis rayap yang paling dominan ditemukan menyerang berbagai jenis kayu di panglong banda aceh dan aceh besar sedangkan nasutitermes roboratus merupakan jenis rayap yang paling sedikit ditemukan. kayu jabon (neolamarckia cadamba) merupakan kayu yang paling dominan diserang oleh rayap yaitu terdapat sebanyak 9 koloni rayap. selain itu, kayu jabon memiliki nilai kekuatan uji kayu sebesar 151,4 kg/cm2 dan termasuk ke dalam kelas kuat kayu v. sedangkan kayu kelapa dan kayu kapuk merupakan kayu yang paling sedikit ditemukan terserang oleh rayap. kata kunci: ketahanan kayu, panglong, jenis kayu, rayap.

This study aims to determine various types of termites that attack wood in panglong in Banda Aceh city and Aceh Besar Regency. Data collection was carried out using the Colony Collection Method in 16 panglongs in Aceh Besar (11 panglongs) and in Banda Aceh (5 panglongs) from December 2021 to June 2022. The results showed that there were four species of termites from three genera that attacked various types of wood in both locations, namely Microtermes pakistanicus, Nasutitermes matangensis, Nasutitermes roboratus, and Coptotermes gestroi. Microtermes pakistanicus is the most dominant species of termite found attacking various types of wood in panglong in Aceh Besar and Banda Aceh while Nasutitermes roboratus is the fewest termites found. Jabon wood (Neolamarckia cadamba) is the most dominant wood attacked by termites which is 9 colonies were discovered. Besides that, jabon wood also has a wood test strength value of 151.4 kg / cm2 and included in the wood strength class V. coconut wood and cottonwood are the fewest attacked wood by termites.
