Miskonsepsi merupakan hal yang penting dan harus diidentifikasi agar dapat mengetahui indikator apa yang belum tercapai dengan maksimal saat proses pembelajaran. permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimanakah miskonsepsi materi litosfer menggunakan tes diagnostik four-tier multiple choice siswa kelas x ips sma negeri 2 banda aceh. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi materi litosfer menggunakan tes diagnostik four-tier multiple choice siswa kelas x ips sma negeri 2 banda aceh. penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif yang menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas x ips sma negeri 2 banda aceh. sampel penelitian ini seluruh siswa kelas x ips sma negeri 2 banda aceh yang berjumlah 50 siswa. penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu teknik total sampling. teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa soal pilihan ganda beralasan sebanyak 15 butir soal yang telah teruji valid dan reliabilitasnya. tes ini dilengkapi tes diagnostik four-tier multiple choice. hasil pengolahan data menggunakan tes diagnostik four-tier multiple choice menunjukkan bahwa dari 50 siswa geografi sma negeri 2 banda aceh yang menjadi sampel pada penelitian ini , didapatkan sebanyak 52% siswa mengalami miskonsepsi, 13% siswa tidak paham konsep, 2% siswa error, dan 33% siswa paham. miskonsepsi siswa masuk dalam kriteria sedang yang diperoleh antara 31%-60%. kata kunci : miskonsepsi, litosfer, tes diagnostik, four-tier multiple choice

Misconceptions are important and must be identified in order find out whot indicators have not been achieved optimally during the learning process. The problem in this study is how the misconceptions about the lithosphere material using the four-tier multiple choice diagnostic test for X IPS SMA Negeri 2 Banda Aceh. This study aim to identify misconceptions about the lithosphere material using a four-tier multiple choice diagnostic test for class X IPS SMA Negeri 2 Banda Aceh . This research is a type of descriptive research that uses a quantitative approach. The population in this study were all students of class X IPS SMA Negeri 2 Banda Aceh. The sample of this research is all students of class X IPS SMA Negeri 2 Banda Aceh, totalling 50 students. This study uses a sampling technique that is total sampling technique. The data collection technique used in the form of multiple choice questions with reasoned as many as 15 items that have been tested valid and reliable. This test is complemented by a four-tier multiple choice diagnostic test. The results of data processing using a four-tier multiple choice diagnostic test showed that of the 50 Geography students of SMA Negeri 2 Banda Aceh who were sampled in this study, it was found that 52% of students had misconseptions, 13% of students did not understand the concept, 2% of students had errors, and 33% students understand. Students misconseptions fall into the moderate criteria obtained between 31%-60%. Keywords: Misconception, Lithosphere, Diagnostic Test, Four-Tier Multiple Choice
