Hujan merupakan sebuah pertikel berbentuk cairan. hujan memerlukan keberadaan lapisan atmosfer tebal agar dapat menemui suhu diatas titik leleh es di dekat dan di atas permukaan bumi. di bumi hujan adalah proses kondensasi uap air di atmosfer menjadi butir air yang cukup berat untuk jatuh dan biasanya tiba di daratan. dua proses yang mungkin terjadi bersamaan dapat mendorong udara semakin jenuh menjelang hujan, yaitu pendinginan udara atau penambahan uap air ke udara. metode yang digunakan adalah ide, naskah, storyboard, dan dikembangkan lagi menjadi animasi. video animasi 2d ini menampilkan karakter, object, icon dan teks menggunakan bantuan aplikasi adobe illustrator cc 2017 dan adobe after effect sehingga menghasilkan video animasi yang halus dan proses rendering animasi ini menghasilkan durasi video selama 3 menit 9 detik dengan format video (*mp4). tujuan proyek akhir dengan harapan adanya video animasi 2d ini dapat memberikan pemahaman kepada para pelajar tentang proses terjadinya hujan dan untuk dijadikan sebagai media pembelajaran bagi kalangan siswa sekolah atau kalangan lainnya. kata kunci: animasi 2d, hujan, adobe ilustrator cc 2017, adobe after effect, edukasi

Rain is a particle in the form of a liquid. Rain requires the presence of a thick layer of atmosphere in order to meet temperatures above the melting point of ice near and above the earth's surface. On earth, rain is the process of condensing water vapor in the atmosphere into water droplets that are heavy enough to fall and usually arrive on land. Two processes that may occur simultaneously can push the air to become more saturated before the rain, namely cooling the air or adding water vapor to the air. The method used is ideas, scripts, storyboards, and further developed into animation. This 2D animated video displays characters, objects, icons and text using the help of the Adobe Illustrator CC 2017 application and Adobe After Effect so as to produce a smooth animated video and the animation rendering process produces a video duration of 3 minutes 9 seconds with the video format (*mp4). The purpose of the Final Project is to hope that this 2D animated video can provide an understanding to the public about the process of rain and to be used as a learning medium for school students or other circles.
