(2) armia, s.pd., m.hum. kata kunci: mengevaluasi informasi fakta, opini, artikel. penelitian ini berjudul “kemampuan peserta didik kelas xii sma negeri 3 banda aceh mengevaluasi informasi fakta opini dalam artikel.” tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan siswa kelas xii sma negeri 3 banda aceh mengevaluasi fakta dan opini dalam artikel. masalah yang diteliti meliputi dua aspek, yakni (1) bagaimana kemampuan siswa kelas xii sma negeri 3 banda aceh mengevaluasi informasi berupa fakta dalam artikel? (2) bagaimana kemampuan siswa kelas xii sma negeri 3 banda aceh mengevaluasi informasi berupa opini dalam artikel? (3) bagaimana kemampuan siswa kelas xii sma negeri 3 banda aceh mengevaluasi informasi fanta dan opini dalam artikel? pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif. pengumpulan data digunakan dengan teknik tes, yaitu siswa diminta mengevaluasi fakta dan opini dalam sebuah teks artikel. nilai rata-rata (mean) hasil mengevaluasi fakta dan opini oleh siswa kelas xii sma negeri 3 banda aceh adalah 73. dari hasil perhitungan nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh, dapat disimpulkan bahwa nilai tersebut sudah mencapai rata-rata kkm yang ditentukan oleh sekolah. hasil penelitian tersebut berarti bahwa kemampuan siswa kelas xii sma negeri 3 banda aceh mengevaluasi informasi fakta dan opini berada pada kategori baik.

Keywords: evaluate fact information, opinion, article. This study is entitled "Ability of Class XII Students of SMA Negeri 3 Banda Aceh in Evaluating Information Facts of Opinions in Articles." The purpose of this study was to describe the ability of class XII students of SMA Negeri 3 Banda Aceh to evaluate facts and opinions in articles. The problems studied include two aspects, namely (1) How is the ability of class XII students of SMA Negeri 3 Banda Aceh to evaluate information in the form of facts in articles? (2) How is the ability of class XII students of SMA Negeri 3 Banda Aceh to evaluate information in the form of opinions in articles? (3) How is the ability of class XII students of SMA Negeri 3 Banda Aceh to evaluate fanta information and opinions in articles? The approach used in this research is a quantitative approach. Data collection is used with a test technique, where students are asked to evaluate facts and opinions in an article text. The average value (mean) of evaluating facts and opinions by class XII students of SMA Negeri 3 Banda Aceh is 73. From the results of calculating the average value obtained, it can be concluded that this value has reached the KKM average determined by the school. The results of this study mean that the ability of class XII students of SMA Negeri 3 Banda Aceh to evaluate fact and opinion information is in the good category.
