Purse seine merupakan alat tangkap terbanyak kedua yang digunakan oleh nelayan ppi sasak. alat penangkap ikan purse seine termasuk dalam kelompok jaring lingkar, karena bekerja dengan cara melingkari gerombolan ikan serta bersifat multi spesies yaitu menangkap lebih dari satu jenis ikan, oleh karena itu perlu diketahui komposisi hasil tangkapan purse seine. komposisi hasil tangkapan adalah kumpulan jenis ikan yang telah ditangkap sebagai hasil dari kegiatan penangkapan ikan. tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui komposisi hasil tangkapan serta mengukur keanekaragaman dan dominansi hasil tangkapan purse seine di ppi sasak. penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. analisisa data dilakukan secara deskriptif, tabulasi jumlah komposisi hasil tangkapan, indeks keanekaragaman dan indeks dominansi. selama penelitian pada bulan desember-januari mendapatkan hasil tangkapan 10 spesies ikan. hasil analisis komposisi persentase yang tertinggi yaitu ikan kembung lelaki sebesar 23% dan persentase terendah 0,13% yaitu cumi-cumi. indeks keanekaragaman (h’) dengan nilai sebesar 1,8 maka indeks keanekaragaman bernilai sedang dan indeks dominasi mendapatkan hasil sebesar 0,18 maka indeks dominansi rendah. kata kunci :purse seine, komposisi hasil tangkapan, indeks keanekaragaman indeks dominansi.

A Purse seine is the second most common fishing gear used by fishers in PPI Sasak. Purse seine fishing gear is included in the circle net group because it works by circling groups of fish and is multi-species, catching more than one type of fish. Therefore it is necessary to know the composition of Purse seine catches. The composition of the catch is a collection of fish species that have been caught as a result of fishing activities. This study aimed to determine the composition of the catch and measure the diversity and dominance of Purse seine catches at PPI Sasak. This research was conducted with a quantitative descriptive method. Data analysis was carried out descriptively, tabulating the number of catch compositions, diversity index, and dominance index. During the study in December-January, ten fish species were caught. The results of the analysis of the highest percentage composition are male mackerel by 23%, and the lowest percentage is 0.13%, namely squid. The diversity index (H') with a value of 1.8 means the diversity index is of moderate value, and the dominance index is 0,18 which means the dominance index is low.
