Proses produksi merupakan kegiatan inti dari suatu industri. oleh karena itu suatu industri harus mempunyai pelayanan, kebijakan, dan kualitas produk yang dapat diandalkan guna memuaskan konsumen. sehingga, perlu ditunjang oleh suatu sistem produksi yang optimal. keripik mustika adalah salah satu industri keripik pedas yang ada di kecamatan paya bujok, kota langsa, aceh. keripik pedas mustika dengan bahan baku berupa singkong, garam, cuka dan perasa pedas memiliki kendala dalam proses pengendalian bahan baku, terutama pada bahan baku singkong, sehingga menyebabkan total biaya bahan baku menjadi tinggi. untuk mendapatkan biaya bahan baku optimal digunakan metode material requirement planning (mrp), yaitu metode yang bergantung pada permintaan produk keripik pedas dengan sistem pengendalian dan perencanaan persediaan bahan baku untuk menjadwalkan jumlah kebutuhan bahan baku yang tepat. sebelum melakukan proses mrp dilakukan proses peramalan untuk menentukan seberapa banyak permintaan keripik pedas yang harus di produksi sebagai tahapan dasar proses mrp, dimana data yang digunakan adalah data peramalan permintaan keripik pedas pada bulan januari sampai desember 2021 menggunakan metode exponential smoothing dengan selang kepercayaan 90%. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan persediaan bahan baku keripik pedas dengan membandingkan biaya optimal persediaan menggunakan metode mrp dengan teknik lot sizing lfl (lot for lot), eoq (economic order quantity), dan poq (periodic order quantity). hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa teknik lot sizing lfl menyatakan biaya persediaan bahan baku yang dibutuhkan sebesar rp. 88.184.269,-.teknik lot sizing eoq menyatakan biaya persediaan bahan baku yang dibutuhkan sebanyak 91.802.973 sedangkan teknik lot sizing poq menyatakan biaya persediaan bahan baku yang dibutuhkan sebesar rp. 88.041.944,- sehingga metode poq dipilih untuk pengendalian dan perencanaan persediaan bahan baku periode januari 2021 sampai desember 2021. kata kunci: mrp, keripik pedas, lfl, eoq, poq

The production process is the core activity of an industry. Therefore, an industry must have reliable services, policies, and product quality to satisfy consumers. So, it needs to be supported by an optimal production system. Mustika Chips is one of the spicy chip industries in Paya Bujok sub-district, Langsa City, Aceh. Mustika Spicy Chips with raw materials in the form of cassava, salt, vinegar and spicy flavors have problems in the process of controlling raw materials, especially cassava raw materials, causing the total cost of raw materials to be high. To obtain optimal raw material costs, the Material Requirement Planning (MRP) method is used, which is a method that depends on the demand for spicy chips with a control system and raw material inventory planning to schedule the right amount of raw material requirements. Before carrying out the MRP process, a forecasting process is carried out to determine how much demand for spicy chips must be produced as a basic stage of the MRP process, where the data used is forecasting data for spicy chips demand from January to December 2021 using the Exponential Smoothing method with a 90% confidence interval. This study aims to optimize the inventory of spicy chips raw materials by comparing the optimal inventory costs using the MRP method with the Lot Sizing LFL (Lot For Lot), EOQ (Economic Order Quantity) and POQ (Periodic Order Quantity) techniques. The results of this study indicate that the Lot Sizing LFL technique states that the cost of raw material inventory needed is Rp. 88,184,269, -, the Lot Sizing EOQ technique states the cost of raw material inventory required is Rp. 91.802,973, while the Lot Sizing POQ technique stated that the cost of raw material inventory needed was Rp. 88.041,944, -.
