Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh orientasi karir protean terhadap optimisme karir dengan adaptabilitas karir dan efikasi diri pengambilan keputusan karir sebagai mediator pada mahasiswa s1 fakultas ekonomi dan bisnis universitas syiah kuala. data diperoleh melalui survei dengan membagikan kuisioner terhadap 250 orang mahasiswa s1 fakultas ekonomi dan bisnis universitas syiah kuala sebagai sampel yang mewakili populasi penelitian. teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah startified random sampling. metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistical product and service solutions (spss). hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa orientasi karir protean, adaptabilitas karir dan efikasi diri pengambilan keputusan karir secara langsung berpengaruh terhadap optimisme karir. hasil penelitian juga menemukan bahwa orientasi karir protean berpengaruh terhadap variabel mediator, yaitu adaptabilitas karir dan efikasi diri pengambilan keputusan karir, sehingga adaptabilitas karir dan efikasi diri pengambilan keputusan karir mampu menjadi mediator pada pengaruh variabel orientasi karir protean terhadap optimisme karir. kata kunci: orientasi karir protean, optimisme karir, adaptabilitas karir, efikasi diri pengambilan keputusan karir

This study aims to determine the effect of Protean Career Orientation on Career Optimism with Career Adaptability and Career Decision Self-Efficacy as a Mediator for Undergraduate Students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Syiah Kuala University. Data was obtained through a survey by distributing questionnaires to 250 undergraduate students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Syiah Kuala University as a sample that represented the research population. The sampling technique used is stratified random sampling. The data analysis method used is Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS). The results of the study found that Protean Career Orientation, Career Adaptability and Career Decision Self-Efficacy directly affect Career Optimism. The results also found that Protean Career Orientation had an effect on the mediator variables, namely Career Adaptability and Career Decision Self-Efficacy, so that Career Adaptability and Career Decision Self-Efficacy could be a mediator on the effect of the Protean Career Orientation variable on Career Optimism.
