Berdasarkan penelitian terakhir yang dilakukan oleh timss (trend in international mathematics and science study), indonesia berada di urutan bawah dalam bidang sains dari negara-negara yang tergabung dalam oecd, oleh karena itu banyak metode, pendekatan dan media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan rata-rata siswa dalam bidang fisika atau sains, diantaranya model isle berbasis stem. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan menerapkan media berbasis iot menggunakan model isle berbasis stem pada topik efek pemanasan global juga untuk menganalisa respon dan hasil belajar peserta didik menggunakan model ini. pada era industri 4.0 perlu memperkenalkan media berbasis iot kepada peserta didik. jenis penilitian menggunakan penelitian pengembangan (research and development) dengan model pengembangan dick & carrey. produk yang dihasilkan yaitu alat peraga berbasis iot (internet of things), lkpd dan rpp. alat peraga berbasis iot dikembangkan menggunakan lora (long range area) sx1276, raspberry pi 3 model b+, arduino uno dan sensor dht11, data ditampilkan pada web thingspeak yang sudah terintegrasi dengan web ttn (the things network) untuk dianalisis oleh peserta didik. hasil validasi alat peraga oleh ahli media menunjukkan nilai rata-rata 4,2, oleh ahli materi mendapatkan nilai rata-rata 4,16 dan oleh guru observer 4,83 yang menunjukkan alat peraga layak untuk diterapkan. validasi juga dilakukan pada lkpd dan rpp, hasil rata-rata nilai validasi lkpd oleh ahli media menunjukkan nilai 4,75, sedangkan oleh ahli materi 3,99 dan oleh guru observer 5, oleh karena itu lkpd layak untuk diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran, begitu juga dengan rpp dengan nilai validasi 4,33. hasil respon dan observasi keaktifan peserta didik menunjukkan nilai 4,38 dan 4,12 tergolong dalam kategori sangat baik dan baik, pre dan posttest juga menunjukkan peningkatan ketuntasan sebesar 70%. hasil tersebut menunjukkan media berbasis iot dan produk yang dikembangkan layak diterapkan dan dapat meningktakan pemahaman peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran. kata kunci: stem, isle, iot, lora, efek pemanasan global



Abstract

Based on the latest research by TIMSS (Trend in International Mathematics and Science Study), Indonesia is at the bottom of the science sector of the countries that are members of the OECD, therefore there are many methods, approaches, and media of learning which have been developed to improve the average ability of students in physics or science, one of them is ISLE model based STEM approach. This study aims to design and implement IoT’s media using the STEM-based ISLE model on the topic of the effects of global warming as well as to analyze the responses and learning outcomes of students using this model. In the industrial era 4.0, it is necessary to introduce IoT-based media to students. This type of research uses development research (Research and Development) with the Dick & Carrey development model. The resulting products are media based IoT (Internet of Things), LKPD and RPP. Media based IoT were developed using LoRa (Long Range Area) SX1276, Raspberry Pi 3 model B +, Arduino Uno and DHT11 sensors, the data displayed on the ThingSpeak web which has been integrated with the TTN (The Things Network) web for analysis by students. The results of the validation of the props by media experts showed an average value of 4.2, by subject experts getting an average value of 4.16 and by observer teachers is 4.83 which showed that the media were feasible to be applied. Validation is also carried out on LKPD and RPP, the average result of the LKPD validation value by media experts shows a value of 4.75, while by subject experts is 3.99 and by observer teachers is 5, therefore LKPD is feasible to be applied in the learning process, as well as with RPP with a validation value of 4.33. The results of the response and observation of the students' activeness showed the values of 4.38 and 4.12 which were classified as very good and good, pre and posttest also showed an increase in completeness by 70%. These results indicate that the IoT-based media and the products developed are feasible to apply and can improve students' understanding in the learning process.
