Pemahaman matematis merupakan salah satu kunci utama dalam pembelajaran matematika. salah satu alternatif pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa adalah teori apos melalui model discovery learning. pembelajaran ini bertujuan untuk mengatahui apakah pemahaman matematis siswa dari penerapan teori apos melalui model discovery learning pada materi persamaan dan pertidaksamaan nilai mutlak di sma negeri 1 bukit mencapai kriteria tuntas. pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif. populasi dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas x dan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas x mia 1 sma negeri 1 bukit sebanyak 20 siswa. data pemahaman matematis siswa tersebut didapatkan dengan memberikan soal pre-test dan post-test. data dianalisis dengan menggunakan program spss versi 20 yaitu uji-t paired sample t tes. hasil uji hipotesis terhadap pemahaman matematis siswa dengan taraf signifikan 0,05 menunjukkan bahwa hasil uji t independen. berdasarkan hasil tersebut maka

Mathematical understanding is one of the main keys in learning mathematics. One alternative learning that can improve students' mathematical understanding ability is APOS theory through models discovery learning. This study aims to find out whether students' mathematical understanding of the application of APOS theory through the discovery model learning on absolute value equations and inequalities at SMA Negeri 1 The hill reached the completion criteria. The approach used in this research is a quantitative approach. The population of this study were students of class X and The sample in this study were students of class X MIA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Bukit as many as 20 students.
