Banyak faktor yang menyebabkan rendahnya pemahaman matematis siswa, salah satunya yaitu penerapan model pembelajaran yang kurang tepat dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan peningkatan pemahaman matematis siswa yang diajarkan dengan model kooperatif tipe stad dengan peningkatan pemahaman matematis siswa yang diajarkan dengan pembelajaran tradisional . pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan true eksperimental design. populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas x dimana sampelnya yaitu siswa kelas x-e sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas x-f sebagai kelas kontrol. data pemahaman matematis siswa dikumpulkan dengan tes pemahaman, yaitu pre-test dan post-test. data tersebut dianalisis secara kuantitatif menggunakan program spss versi 20. hasil uji t menunjukkan bahwa data kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol memiliki p-value

Many factors cause students' low mathematical understanding, one of which is the application of an inappropriate learning model in teaching and learning activities. This study aims to compare the increase in students' mathematical understanding taught by the STAD type cooperative model with the increase in students' mathematical understanding taught by traditional learning. The research approach used is a quantitative approach with a true experimental design. The population in this study were all students of class X where the samples were students of class X-E as the experimental class and students of class X-F as the control class. Data on students' mathematical understanding was collected by means of comprehension tests, namely pre-test and post-test. The data were analyzed quantitatively using the SPSS version 20 program.
