Penelitian yang berjudul “peningkatan pemahaman konsep melalui model cocoaer berbasis scientific approach pada siswa smpn 1 darussalam” bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan pemahaman konsep melalui model cocoaer berbasis scientific approach pada siswa smpn 1 darussalam. penelitian ini menggunakan desain pre experimental design dengan pola one group pretest-posttest, sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas ix-3 yang berjumlah 28 siswa. instrumen yang digunakan terdiri atas non-tes (rpp, lkpd, lembar pengamatan guru dan lembar respon siswa) dan intrumen tes (tes pemahaman konsep). teknik pengolahan data menggunakan analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif serta perhitungan n-gain score. hasil analisis data dikelompokkan menjadi 3 yaitu analisis kevalidan, kepraktisan dan keefektifan. hasil analisis kevalidan diperoleh dari instrument non-test dan tes dengan kategori valid (v). sementara hasil analisis kepraktisan rata-rata tergolong dalam kategori sangat baik (sb). sedangkan hasil analisis keefektifan melalui model cocoaer berbasis scientific approach tergolong dalam kategori tinggi. dengan demikian dapat dinyatakan bahwa model cocoaer berbasis scientific approach dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa smpn 1 darussalam dengan score n-gain 0,75.

The research entitled "Improving Concept Understanding Through CoCoAER Model Based on Scientific Approach for Students of SMPN 1 Darussalam" aims to determine the improvement of conceptual understanding through CoCoAER model based on Scientific Approach in SMPN 1 Darussalam students. This study used a Pre Experimental Design with a One Group Pretest-Posttest pattern, the sample in this study was class IX-3 students, totaling 28 students. The instruments used consisted of non-tests (RPP, LKPD, teacher observation sheets and student response sheets) and test instruments (concept understanding tests). The data processing technique uses qualitative and quantitative analysis and the calculation of the N-Gain Score. The results of data analysis are grouped into 3, namely the analysis of validity, practicality and effectiveness. The results of the validity analysis were obtained from non-test instruments and tests with a valid category (V). Meanwhile, the results of the analysis of practicality on average are in the very good category (SB). Meanwhile, the results of the effectiveness analysis through the CoCoAER model based on the Scientific Approach are in the high category. Thus, it can be stated that the CoCoAER model based on the Scientific Approach can improve students' understanding of concepts at SMPN 1 Darussalam with an N-Gain score of 0.75.
