Kualitas pendidikan di aceh masih dalam kategori rendah jika dibandingkan dengan daerah lain. untuk itu pemerintah di aceh mencanangkan suatu program untuk mendongkrak mutu pendidikan. aceh carong merupakan program yang usulkan oleh pemerintah untuk mengatasi hal tersebut. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat implementasi program tersebut pada sekolah dalam bentuk pemahaman serta pelaksanaan program dan kegiatannya. penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitin yaitu deskriptif. hal ini untuk mendeskripsikan objek dari permasalahn penelitian. adapun subjek dalam penelitian ini yakni kepala sekolah pada beberapa sma di kota banda aceh. teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini melalui observasi langsung serta tanya jawab kepada responden berdasarkan pedoman wawancara. hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa, program aceh carong belum sepenuhnya dipahami dengan pasti oleh kepala sekolah. pemahaman terhadap program aceh carong hanya sebatas program tersebut merupakan program yang dicanangkan oleh pemerintah. kepala sekolah tidak menunjukkan pemahaman lebih spesifik mengenai program ini. dalam pelaksanaan program aceh carong pada sekolah dilakukannya penelitian, belum terimplementasikan sebagaimana mestinya. adapun program-program yang berlaku pada tiap satuan pendidikan tidak menunjukkan perbedaan dengan program nasional yang berlaku. sama halnya dengan pelaksanaan kegiatan yang mendukung berjalannya program aceh carong. kegiatan program aceh carong juga belum terimplementasikan seperti yang seharusnya. hal ini berdasarkan wawancara yang telah dilakukan. hasil wawancara menunjukkan bahwasanya program maupun kegiatan aceh carong yang berlaku sama halnya seperti program dan kegiatan nasional yang dijalankan. dengan kata lain program aceh carong hanya sebagai nama dan dalam pelaksanaannya program aceh carong menumpang pada program nasional.

The quality of education in Aceh is still in the low category when compared to other regions. For this reason, the government in Aceh has launched a program to boost the quality of education. Aceh Carong is a program proposed by the government to overcome this. This study aims to see the implementation of the program in schools in the form of understanding and implementing the program and its activities. This study uses a qualitative approach with the type of research that is descriptive. This is to describe the object of the research problem. The subjects in this study were principals at several high schools in the city of Banda Aceh. Data collection techniques in this study were through direct observation and questions and answers to respondents based on interview guidelines. The results of this study indicate that the Aceh Carong program has not been fully understood with certainty by the school principal. The understanding of the Aceh Carong program is only limited to the program's being a program launched by the government. The principal did not show a more specific understanding of this program. While research was carried out in the implementation of the Aceh Carong program in schools, it was not implemented properly. The programs that apply to each educational unit do not show any difference from the applicable national programs. The same applies to the implementation of activities that support the Aceh Carong program. The Aceh Carong program activities have also not been implemented as they should be. This is based on interviews that have been conducted. The results of the interview show that the Aceh Carong programs and activities that apply are the same as the national programs and activities that are carried out. In other words, the Aceh Carong program is only a name, and in its implementation, the Aceh Carong program rides on the national program.
