This study aims to examine the short-term and long-term effects of fossil energy consumption, geothermal energy, labor and capital on economic growth and CO2 emissions and causality between variables. This study uses the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model from 1990-2019 in Indonesia. The results found from this study are that in the short term, petroleum consumption and labor have a significant positive effect on Indonesia's economic growth. Coal consumption, natural gas consumption, geothermal energy, labor, and capital stock significantly negatively impact economic growth. In the long term, coal consumption has a significant positive impact on economic growth. Petroleum consumption had a significant negative effect on economic growth in Indonesia during the study period. Furthermore, In the short term, petroleum consumption and capital stock have a significant positive effect on CO2 emission. Geothermal energy has a significant negative impact on CO2 emission. In the long term, labor has a significant positive impact on CO2 emissions. Capital stock has a significant negative impact on CO2 emissions in Indonesia.
