ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ekstrak tomat (Lycopersicum Esculentum) terhadap peningkatan jumlah sel Leydig testis kontralateral setelah detorsi pada tikus putih (Rattus novergicus) yang mengalami torsio unilateral 7200selama 6 jam. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 20 ekor tikus putih (Rattus novergicus) jenis kelamin jantan, usia 3-4 bulan dengan berat badan 180-200 gram, yang dibagi menjadi 4 kelompok. Kelompok pertama merupakan kontrol negatif (KN) tikus normal tanpa dilakukan torsio testis dan pemberian ekstrak tomat. Kelompok kedua merupakan kontrol positif (KP) tikus dilakukan torsio testis unilateral 7200 selama 6 jam setelah detorsi tanpa diberikan ekstrak tomat. Kelompok ketiga (P1) tikus dilakukan torsio testis unilateral 7200 selama 6 jam setelah detorsi diberikan ekstrak tomat dosis 100 mg/kgbb. Kelompok keempat (P2) tikus dilakukan torsio testis unilateral 7200 selama 6 jam setelah detorsi diberikan ekstrak tomat 200mg/kgbb. Pemberian ekstrak tomat dilakukan secara oral untuk kelompok perlakuan selama 30 hari. Pengamatan jumlah sel Leydig dilakukan secara histologis dengan pewarnaan Hematoksilin-Eosin (HE) dan slide diperiksa dengan mikroskop cahaya. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis varian (ANAVA) pola satu arah dan dilanjutkan dengan uji berganda Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pemberian ekstrak tomat dosis 200 mg/kgBB lebih baik dibandingkan dengan dosis 100 mg/kgBB dalam meningkatkan jumlah sel Leydig testis kontralateral pada tikus yang mengalami torsio unilateral 7200 selama 6 jam. Kesimpulan pemberian ekstrak tomat dapat meningkatkan jumlah sel Leydig testis kontralateral tikus putih yang mengalami torsio testis unilateral 7200selama 6 jam

ABSTRACT
This study aims to determine the effect of giving tomato extract (Lycopersicum Esculentum) on the increase in the number of contralateral testicular Leydig cells after detortion in white rats (Rattus novergicus) that experience unilateral torsion 7200 for 6 hours. The samples used were 20 male white rats (Rattus novergicus), 3-4 months old with a body weight of 180-200 grams, which were divided into 4 groups. The first group was negative control (KN) normal mice without testicular torsion and administration of tomato extract. The second group was a positive control (KP) of mice who were subjected to unilateral 720 testicular torsion for 6 hours after detortion without being given tomato extract. The third group (P1) of mice were subjected to unilateral 7200 testicular torsion for 6 hours after the detortion was given tomato extract at a dose of 100 mg / kgbb. The fourth group (P2) of rats were subjected to unilateral 7200 testicular torsion for 6 hours after the detortion was given 200 mg / kg of tomato extract. Tomato extract was administered orally for the treatment group for 30 days. Observation of the number of Leydig cells was carried out histologically with Hematoxylin-Eosin (HE) staining and the slides were examined with a light microscope. Data were analyzed using one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by Duncan's multiple test. The results showed that the administration of tomato extract at a dose of 200 mg / kgBW was better than the 100 mg / kgBW dose in increasing the number of contralateral testicular Leydig cells in mice that experienced 7200unilateral torsion for 6 hours. The conclusion is that giving tomato extract can increase the number of contralateral testicular Leydig cells of white rats who experience 7200unilateral testicular torsion for 6 hours.
